keeps calling every 5 minutes - caller ID reads "Service Message"

Harrassing phone calls, all started after receiving an e-mail from Olive Garden offering a Coupon for 2 "FREE" dinners. As soon as I gave a phone number phone calls started coming in. The very first one was from an idiot who I guess did not understand the words " I am not interested" or "do not call this number ever again" trying to sell home security systems. I will report to whomever I have to but will put a stop to it. If I get one more call, I will connect them to the police dept., he can then talk with them!

As for Olive Garden, SHAME! Selling out information and misleading people?? I will report to the BBB also.

The calls may simply be coincidental with your (presumed) email reply with your phone number. If you're sure the calls are related, be aware email sender addresses can be spoofed and OG may not have sent the email, have you verified headers? It's best never to reply to or click on anything in stranger emails.

I have gotten 2 telephone calls within 10 minutes of each other on this telephone number.

These calls started after I answered an Olive Garden survey online.

Same for me comes in as service message and no voice message is left.

I DO NOT WANT HARASSING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER ANY LONGER!  PLEASE STOP!  STOP!  STOP!

I have been getting lot of calls from this #. The person kept on insisting to talk to the manager regarding my home security. After repeatably telling him to remove my number he would not listen and tells me he gets this a lot and kept on talking. I started getting the calls right after I saw something on FB regarding southwest offering 2 free tix. The FB post was from known person so I applied and here I am stuck with this number who keeps on calling.

That sounds familiar with the southwest airline promo scam that I accidentally clicked weeny friend posted on my facebook.  I will get Verizon to block that number, 978-570-2446.

I received a message from 44847 thanking me for visiting their website, which I didn't.  Next thing I know I'm getting calls from this number.  I answer and they hang up.

I've received calls from this #, usually twice a day every other month.  It's happened again, so I talked with Verizon and I put them on call block for 90 days (for free) and will repeat if necessary.

For the past 3 days, I've received at least 2 calls daily from this number. I've never answered the calls and never received any voicemails.

I received a call from this number this morning. My Caller-ID merely reads "GRNSEC." I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

I just got a call from this number, and believe it to be from a home security company.  I have received calls from 978-570-2447 as well, which I have blocked, and just added this number too to my blocked list. TROLLS!  I really hate getting these calls on my cell phone!  I have been on the do not call list for at least 2 years, so there's no excuse, I never give my number out either.  Don't know how they captured my number.

Keep getting calls and I am out of minutes!!! Stop calling now!!! Can't someone do something to stop them!!!

I've been getting calls from them non-stop for a few months now. Some days are worse than others. My phone says it's coming from Massachusetts, USA. The times I did answer it sounded like a recording trying to sell me a home security system. Now I just answer then hang up. I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, but obviously that doesn't work.

Don't answer the phone, let voice mail take the cellphone call, doesn't cost any minutes since you are not using actual airtime, delete any messages, without listening to them, from numbers you do not recognize.  I never answer any calls that are "unknown" caller or no calling number listed, or number is not known to me.  My voice mail greeting states no calls will be accepted from blocked caller name or ID or telemarketers from 800 series numbers.  Id you have the capability to designate numbers to refuse, do so.
If you answer telemarketing calls, they then know you might be a prospect, they will keep calling and may even sell your number.  For my landline phone, I can forward their call to their own number, that way they may get a constant busy signal or be routed back to another telemarketer.  Repeated offenders, turn them in.  Keep a log, number of calls from, time, frequency, etc. Fight Back!!!

I keep getting calls from these POS'es too and I dont answer any on-line surveys or. I think they are able to strip numbers off of Craigslist adds.  I've asked to be taken off there marketing list to no avail, so the last time they called I decide to order one of their security systems. 978 is a mass number it's a north shore/northwest area number. I live in boston so i almost answered the phone. It is clever of them to start using local numbers rather than 800 numbers so people might answer the phone.
