Scam about home security systems. Just hang-up / reject when the number pops up.

As one can see, the complaints have been coming in since the beginning of the year, it must be hard to stop these telemarketers. What I've done is that every time I'm in the market for a new cell phone, the ONLY feature that I'm interested in is it's ability to block calls. Some of these phones are pretty good, they can block "unknown" calls and keep others from going to voicemail. Forget the bells and whistles, get a phone that is good at rejecting unwanted calls.

call the number back and press 1  for the do not call list if they call again then start a case

Hello Everyone...look, it is real simple to ignore these morons.  So, here is a receipe for success; 1. if you feel it is necessary, register your telephone number with the do not call registry.  2. Save the phone number in your contacts with one of the following;  SPAM, JUNK, OR DO NOT ANSWER.  Make sure that you phone is set so that is does not automaticly answer the call.  These small steps will eliminate your frustration and potential cost of answering the call.  Have a great day :-)!

I did the same on August 1, but surprise...they started calling again today.

I agree with Fred - don't waste your time with the stupid DNC list.  That is a total waste of time!  And filing a complaint?  Yet another waste of time - that only makes it worse.  I filed a complaint on this number yesterday and since then have been bombarded by the [***] five times within a 4 hour period!  Ridiculous!

I just filed the complaint with FCC also.  I have already filed complaints with Do Not Call Registry 3 times.  I will keep it up.  If enough of us do it maybe it will have some impact.  I am now getting two calls every day.

Please remove me from your calling lists by Monday 8/22/2011.

... and then what happens is they sell the newly confirmed list of phone numbers to other telemarket spammers and the cycle repeats itself.

I had 2 other calls from this company which went to voice mail.  I literally was on this page looking at the conversations and the phone rang - it was "Tom from Home Security.  How are you today?"...and clearly did NOT sound like an automated voice.  Maybe they are all "Tom" when they call.

As soon as he announced himself, I said I was fine and I was on the Do Not Call Registry.  He immediately apologized and said he would remove my number from their list. And that was it.  We shall see :-)

No it doesn't stop most callers... at best it only stops the honest businesses.  All others go the route of automating their dialers and spamming, secure in the knowledge that you can't tell them no because its a recording.  Any response you make that tries to tell them to stop results in your confirming that your phone number is a good one and they can then resell it (which may be how this company actually makes it money).

I called the company and threatened them with a lawsuit. I have placed a complaint with the FTC and the Do Not Call list.

If I ever get a call from either 9785702446 or 6032143653 or any other phone number selling me advertising for wireless home security, they will be hearing from my lawyers...

I'd suggest all to do the same... Enuff irritated calls, and I hope they get the message.... You can run, but you can't hide!!!

Got a call on my "Do Not Call" call phone.  No message left.

Just received a call from them today.  Filing a complaint with DNC.

I have asked this person to stop calling and trying to sell me a security system and they keep calling.

Recieved yet another call from this number. Same time everyday.

I like to answer and hold down the star key on my phone. Sometimes I'll push it a bunch of times to simulate a busy tone. I hear a couple of, "Hello?"s or "Are you there?", and then they hang up. I also like the idea of keeping them on the phone, which must hurt their call quota. Either ask a lot of details about what they are selling, or tell them to hang on, and put the phone in a drawer. Of course I have unlimited minutes, so...
