called my cell......seldom do I even turn it on.........never even knew they called...............until I saw a number being rejected....same place????......robo....blind calls????.....checking to see if you are home by signals????.......grrrrrrrrrrrr...............another con....scam.....vagabond????....traveling gypsy????????....coinky-dink???....yessir they are all out there now.......and some new ones too.......identity thieves..opportunists.....borrowers????....problem they don't or seldom return things, hoping you never notice the few items missing!!!!...some valuable, some resellable, some parts for their broken stuff!!!........stay alert people........distractions can be innocent or planned by a few..........

Yesterday I emailed BayRing Communications, the provider for these numbers.  I actually got a pretty quick response, and hope that this information will help the rest of you.  I do find it ironic that this asshat company (who is breaking the law) is protected by privacy laws, yet my privacy can be violated, but whatever.  This was the following email I got:

We have received your email. You are correct in your statement that we are simply the service/dial tone provider for the majority of these numbers. We are a telephone and internet service provider, just like AT&T and Comcast, and as their underlying service carrier, our company name comes up online when the numbers are researched. Unfortunately, due to national privacy laws, I am not allowed to release the name of the company that is using these numbers and placing these calls, as much as I wish I could!

We provide dial tone to 603-214-3679, 603-214-9021, 603-214-3668, 508-475-1968, 978-570-2447, and 978-570-2446.

We do not provide service to the other three numbers. These appear to be West coast numbers so I tried to research them online and it looks like their underlying carriers are Pacific Telecom Communications Group and Western Wireless Corporation.

What I can offer in regards to the numbers that we service that are constantly calling you is the number to the Compliance Department that has been set up to specifically help people remove their numbers from this company’s calling lists. When calling this number, you will reach a live person who will work with you to make these calls stop- it will not result in more calls! That number is 855-226-2444. Also, if you don’t mind providing the number that they are calling, I will send a message on your behalf to further ensure that the calls stop. I can also include your original message within mine so they know how serious this issue is.

If you are getting solicitation calls on your cell phone and it's a "Smartphone" you can probably download an app to block certain phone numbers. For example, I have an android phone. I added this number to my "Blocked List" using "TouchPal Dialer" which includes options for blocking certain numbers. I selected the option to "Pick up and hang up". You can also opt to send the call directly to voice mail. There are also apps solely dedicated to blocking unwanted calls to your cell phone.

This is another security system sales call. They are relentless.

Received a call from this number and when I answered, there was no response on the line.  I have no idea how the caller found my unlisted cell phone number and I will contact the State's Attorney if they call me again.

Got through to me on my unlisted cell while I was at work, and persisted in offering me a deep discount on a wireless home security system if I let them put a sign in my yard. I explained he's calling my cell and it's not OK to do that, I'm at work, etc., and he persisted with "just let me ask you one or two more quick things," then when I told him I'm a condo renter, he hung up on me.

This number appears on my unlisted cell phone several times a day.  I don't answer because I don't recognize the number and they never leave a message.  It it unsolicited and would like it to stop since it is a waste of my cell phone minutes for me to answer.

Obviously the "do not call" lists don't work.  I get several calls a day!

John, they don't "find" your unlisted number. They have an autodialer that calls every number from -0000 to -9999 in every area code and prefix.
If it's annoying enough, talk to your phone provider about "selective call rejection". This lets you enter numbers into a "reject list", if they call you, they either get a ring with no answer or a recorded message saying "this number is not accepting calls at this time". Your phone never rings, you never get bothered from this number. (Of course, they change numbers every few months, so, lather, rinse, and repeat.)
Alternately, some cell phones allow you to select a custom ring tone for entries in your contact list, put them in with "no ring" as the choice.
My system is, I simply don't answer the phone unless I recognize the calling line AND want to talk to that person. Otherwise it goes to voicemail. If it is important, they WILL leave a message. But these clowns never do. But they have called me EIGHT times in three days, so they are going on my reject list.

I am Dr. Maria Mayer of Alhambra, California. I get harassed at least 3 times a day by this unwanted caller Green Co (978) 570-2446, and whenever I call back that number to ask to be placed in the no-call list their number is ringing busy (phone off the hook?). I want to report them for harassment.
