This number has called our office for the last few days and always hangs up. When I tried to call back it says the number is not in service.

Called me twice today telling me that my Windows computer is generating error messages. Very interesting since I have a Mac.

They called me again, I answered Mircosoft. They hung up.  That one way to mess around with them.

As everyone else on this message board has already realized, this is clearly a scam.  I informed him that I am more than able to fix computer issues myself and realize this is a scam.  He continued to yell at me saying I need to turn my computer on now.  I nicely asked him to stop what he was doing so he did not catch someone that was actually going to believe him.  I was then hung up on.

Demands don't work with criminals.  Which is what  these people are.  Call blocker is your best bet.  They sell them on Amazon for about $60.  Also, don't pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

They are located in either India or Pakistan and are spoofing local numbers

"David" from windows claims my computer was sending reports of problems and tells me to hit control and "r" and type in a code.. Knowing it's a scam and would give him access to my computer I hung up on him. He then calls back 4 times from a midland, MI, number and hangs up each time. Total creep.

I've answered calls from this number about six times just in the last four days.  I told them that  I know that they are trying to scam me and to f__king get off my phone.  They just keep calling.  Next time I just might blow a whistle in their ear.

They've called my house 4 times in the last hour.  We don't answer, they don't leave a message.  It's annoying.

Got another call even though I previously told them I had Macs.  This time I got a woman telling me she's calling from Microsoft.  I told her I don't have computers.  She says, "Why don't you have computers?"  I said I just don't.  She says, "You need to buy a computer."  I said I don't have to buy anything and she hangs up.  What really, really ticked me off is the call came in at 9:30 pm, which is too late to call in this house.

Received 4 calls today, finally answered and could hardly understand the people, they said that they were receiving error messages and would shut down my computer within 24 hours, when I asked them how much it would cost to "fix" the problem, their one time charge was 149.00 per computer, when I asked them where they got the authority to shut down my computer, they hung up! It's a scam, because the call came from Midland MI. and when I asked them where they were calling from the manager said, Santa Barbara, CA.,!

Wow -- same experience as reported above; call rec'd in AZ at 9:00am (4th or 5th received from this number in the past few months); insisted my computer had "sent them a message" -- I insisted that was impossible as I'd not been online with my laptop in months....  (Played along for a bit as I wanted to see how hard he'd try to sell the scam.)  Had the audacity to argue with me about it, and at one point asked (with heavy East Indian accent), "Don't you understand English?!?"  Quite funny, if not so completely intrusive and obnoxious.  I asked for the (supposed) registration number which he reeled off (1007501097 -- not mine) and said I would call back when I had a chance to check it. Said they couldn't take callbacks as they had too, too many calls.  Har.

Thanks to this page I knew it was a scam when they called for the umpteenth time. I answered the phone "FBI computer crime unit" and they hung up. No more calls.

This number calls everyday and never says anything but a recorded "goodbye". No info and when you call it back it says its disconnected!

This Number called 4 times yesterday and hup n this morning, Quit [***] calling !!!!!

Have received several calls from this number.  Caller ID says Midland MI.  Last night, they must not have realized my answering machine had picked up - heard disconnected, foreign voices talking to each other.

Criminals don't care

I have been seeing this # on my caller ID 4 or 5 times a day but never left message. Answered yesterday, got a rehearsed speech about my computer and Microsoft, said to remove me from list and hung up. Today, Thanksgiving, they actually called again..,...so, I told them my brother is a computer tech who works for government and he takes care of my stuff.  Can't wait to see if they call back.
