Yes, they did.  Called at 6:20pm Thanksgiving Day. To fix my computer.  Ha!

got a call today.. told the woman i new it was a scam  ...she sarcastically called me a genius.

Received a call from this number on Thanksgiving night. They called at 10pm when my whole family was asleep. Guy took 2 minutes to actually speak, and asked if he was speaking to my dad. In the background it sounded like he was in the middle of a busy store and black Friday was happening in the background or something. As soon as I told them I wasn't interested, he hung up. I was going to go off on him and tell him that it's completely unacceptable to call a home at 10pm on any night, let alone thanksgiving night. So I am pissed he hung up. I *69'd the number since I don't have caller ID, but when I called, the number said it was disconnected. So if any of you get a call from these [***] clowns, be sure and give them a piece of my mind as well. I kind of hope he calls back tomorrow at a decent hour so I can at least.

Called last night....on Thanksgiving! We didn't answer. Called again this morning. Again, we didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. What scamming telemarketer calks on Thanksgiving? (Unless they don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the country they are calling from=SCAM)

This guy has called me 9x in the last week. I've picked up a couple times but the person hung up...until this AM. "Brian" (from Windows) was calling b/c of issues with my computer. I told him I knew it was a scam & to stop calling me. He asked how I knew it was a scam and why did I have the right to say that? I asked why he thought he had the right to keep calling me. He started yelling so I blew a whistle & hope that provided the incentive to stop the harassment.

This number calls me at least 10Xs a day!! No one is on the other end.

I get the impression that there are those that expect the federal government to intercept these calls before it reaches the phone number in question.

Probably time to buy a call blocker device, app, or phone.
Google "call blocker" to see the various types, and find one that best meets your needs.

My mother is 82 yrs old, she has been receiving calls from 989-832-8978 for the past week. They call about 4 times daily,I have told them that my mother does not even own a computer a and to stop calling. Unfortunately they did not understand what I said,the calls continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came home to 8 missed calls !!!!  OMG, it must be something REALLY important --- somebody was calling me every 30 minutes.   Turns out it is just some BS company trying to sell me virus protection for my "windows computer"

This phone number calls several times a day at all hours.  I never have answered and they have never left a message.

Calls repeatedly, had 4 calls yesterday, 1 today before noon.

Pretty much the same story, I was told that when my PC downloaded a program it didn't do it right and that it was susceptible to being 'hacked'. I told him that no I thought that he was going to try hacking my PC and that wasn't going to happen. At that time he was in a hurry to get rid of me probably so he could move on to try and find a sucker.

Call for three day, I finally answer. Couldnt understand who he was but I did understand him when he said my computer.
I said ok, and dial tone.

Ok! So I see a number I don't no, so what do I do? I click the phone in they ear, isn't that
just nasty? works every time for me.

An AT&T rep told me there is an app that allows people to hide their real phone number behind another phone number. It's probably true that the Midland, MI number is disconnected. The scammers are just using it to cover up their own Caller ID. I used to also get these same calls from an Out of Area number.  Reporting this particular number is probably not going to help. Unfortunately, my own number was used to shield a marketing scam. I kept getting calls from someone who said I called him--which I never did.  Turns out it was a tax marketing scam.

I received a telephone call from them today and before the guy (who had a heavy Iranian accent) could say anything about my computer...I told him that there was nothing wrong with my computer and I hung up!
