I have received four calls from this number. The first three were from a woman who said she had been talking to my wife [ diffrent name for wife each time ] about something. I interupted her at this point and told her that she must have the wrong number as I have never been married and hang up. The last time I beleive it was the same woman but as soon as she reconized my voice she apolligized saying she had the wrong number and disconnected.

I received a call at about 2am, when I answered it, it started out "You have a collect call from...This is...." then it was cut off. The "This is..." part was a females voice. A min. later I received a text message from 999-999-9999 but at the top of the msg was the phone # 408-634-0694 and stated "If you have seen or have located or contacted Sierra Lamar, please call 911 immediately, Please be prepared to provide youer exact location........."
What the heck is this crap all about?????

    I received a call, too.
Sierra Lamar, 15 years of age, set out for Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill, California at 6:00 a.m. Friday morning and never arrived at the school. She resides in an unincorporated area of Morgan Hill, so the call may have come from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office rather than coming from the Morgan Hill Police Department. Telephone number 408-634-0694 is a San Martin, California telephone number. The San Martin Sheriff's Department location would be the closest to Morgan Hill.

These calls are from a unlisted number or a private number, that person had tried to block their number again...making it into 999-999-9999. This call into my home on my cell at 1:00 a.m. I called Verizon and this was told to me..also the call was taken off of my telephone bill.

This is a generic number that scammers use when the scramble their number.  It will usually come up RESTRICTED or UNAVAILABLE on your phone and then be 9999999999 on your statement.  The ones I have been getting are Jamaica scammers trying to get money out of a little old lady I know.  We have now been receiving death threats from these numbers and I wish someone would figure out who they are and stop them!

Got a call also.  Have answering machine, turned ringers off but have caller ID. Too bad all these weird callers keep us from using our phone.  Real calls are answered quickly.  999-999-9999 Name unavailable.  Heard a rumor that people who get these are marked for death.  Hope that is not true.

I get these calls.  Turned off the ringers on all the phones and let it go to message.  I was thinking of disconnecting phone service but we are a dead zone for cell phones.  Have to go out to use it.  Why is it okay for others to call all the time with junk?  Make them stop.

Duh. Don't pick up the phone. I didn't. I would never pick up a phone call that said 9999999999. And I didn't. I have applications on my cell phone that protect me from unknown callers and unwanted callers. This immediately followed an unknown caller which is rejected automatically because of my apps.

In this day in age where technology is steadfast and growing faster and getting bigger than we are you need to be quick on your feet. Do not answer calls that look fishy. Because they are fishy. Be smart.

I currently have sprint. I ported my number to sprint from virgin mobile last Tuesday. I've had the same number for over a year now and as soon as my number was switched I started getting 2 blank texts at 6:48 pm. I thought "maybe this is their way of telling me my number finished porting". But it hasn't stopped. Every morning AND every evening, both at 6:48, I receive 2 blank texts at a time. It's quite annoying and creepy. I've tried texting stop and still nothing. I don't understand how I never ever got this message until the exact moment my number was switched to a different company.
