Call from 999-999-9999 at 215PM Saturday. I answered but nobody was on the line so I hung up.

We've had 120 calls (no joke) from this number since 11/8/18 -- five months. They usually call 3 times per day, often 5-6 per day. Nothing but harassment.. And the number is not blockable because it's spoofed.

Rec;d call 6-3 at 7;45 pm,,,I decided to answer and tell them 'wrong number' so they'd not call again. A woman's recorded voice said 'this is an important question I have to ask you"  I hung up.

This number has appeared on a second phone line on my account, what I have been able to find out for the number 999-999-9999 is a number given from google voice. The original phone number is blocked out and will appear on your phone bill as 999-999-9999, other examples 111-111-1111, 000-000-0000 and so on.

This is now a number used by Northern California Emergency Alert System. It is a call to warn you that you are at risk of fire or flood coming to your location. It's subscription based. You enter your work, school, home, or other place of concern on the County Website. If the risk is to your area you get the call.
It's like reverse 911

Appeared as Restricted Number on my Caller ID. Checked my carrier & it showed that it was 999-999-9999. I only answered thinking it might be my brother. When I asked if it was him he said yes & sounded very much like him. Then he asked if I received my delivery & I questioned what delivery. He stated my check for $850K. Started to hang up, but instead told him to remove my number b/c this is a scam & I would be reporting it to the FBI.

Received call from 1-999-999-9999 at 3am on digital land line. Picked up. No answer from caller. Blocked number.

My bill shows 999 999 9999 incoming calls for 40 min,35 min in different days and time. Are those private numbers or what???

I received a text message from 9-999-999-9999 telling that my RBCBank account was frozen due to suspicious activity. The number is obviously fake. I blocked it and reported it as spam. I also tried to report it to the real Royal Bank of Canada, but they don't have a way to report phishing text messages (only phishing emails and websites).

I've documented nearly 400 calls from this number, all since Nov. 8, 2018. That's 17 months. The number cannot be blocked, at least at my service provider (Comcast), which likely means it's spoofed. I do have software on my computer that stops it after one ring so it's not so bad as it could be. Reports on the purpose of the calls vary.: Waste Management notifying of one-day late pickup due to holiday (when I made that note we hadn't had a holiday anywhere near that time), one of those "tech support" scammers where they want to take over your computer, the scammers who say they're from the IRS, health care telemarketers, surveys ... There's even an urban myth that a call from that number means you're cursed (they call it “the phone call of death” ).

Suspicious number. Did not answer. They wanted to give me a stimulus check.

What if this 999-999-9999 number shows up on bill as a text from you to them?
