It’s a number from a Amazon customer service

This call just came in.  I did not know the number so did not answer.  They have left no message.  I see above someone says it was Amazon Customer service, but nowhere in the CID did it say that.  While can understand them calling you'd think they would at the very least leave a message.

This number is not from Amazon.  Beware.  Someone is impersonating Amazon.  If  you want to be sure someone is calling from Amazon, Google search their customer service phone number and call them yourself.

I received a call from Mark, who identified himself as calling from the Brentwood post office. Apparently I had received a package from Amazon. He called my phone number as no address was listed on the package. He wanted to obtain my address, so that the post office package could be delivered. The caller ID on my phone indicated that the call came from PH: (626) 465-7906. I looked on the website and the Brentwood USPS has listed PH: 925-240-2065 as their main number. I assume this is a phone phishing attempt.

I have a blocking app on my phone but people can still leave a message. My blocking app tagged it as spam. The person just said "hello?" but hung up after getting the standard app message that his call was being blocked.

They left a message regarding a disappointing interaction I had with an Amazon seller.  It was almost impossible to hear what they were saying except for the "$10 Amazon card".......  I'm not going to follow up.

This has SOMETHING to do with Amazon Fraudulent purchase.  I received a package I did not order from Amazon.  I called the number that was listed as "my  number" on the tracking slip (because it wasn't my number and I was curious) and the moment I called that number I got a call waiting with this number trying to reach me.  I didn't answer.  The whole thing seems VERY fishy.

I just received the same call. I am almost certain it is a scam now that I found this forum and have read others posts. I am very active on Amazon and know how they work.

I answered the phone even though I did not recognize the number. A lady was quiet and stayed on the phone. She starting to say "hello friend" but the phone call sounded weird and I could barely even hear or understand what she was saying. I politely informed her that she has the wrong number and to not call again.

Does anyone know if this is for sure a scam or if I should be worried that these people are trying to call me?

They called and left a message for me.  I had an Amazon purchased product package that was being delivered by UPS freight.  They left a different phone number to call back for the local UPS carrier.  It really was UPS, and they really scheduled a delivery.  If you call the 626 number back, you will not get anywhere.  Listen to your messages.  At least this is my experience within the last ten minutes as I first attempted a call back before listening to my messages.

This is a seller from Amazon that sells fake items as real. They call you pretending to be Amazon. They are a 3rd party seller. Do Not buy from them, if you do you are buy fake china copies. I got stuck buying a Kat Von D makeup brush. They called me pretending to be Amazon, I called Amazon right after and Amazon confirmed that they email customers first and will only call from their Amazon phone number which is (888) 280-4331.

This is NOT an Amazon # !!!!!!! It's a robot telling you that a service you never had in the first place (some insurance on your computer) is about to expire or they're going out of business and they want to give you a refund. The voice is old-school robot. DO NOT ANSWER!!!!!

This is Amazon freight delivery service. I ordered some heavy furniture that they said a freight company would call when ready to deliver. Talked to the woman who was very nice and arranged time for delivery. While my phone thought it was a spam call, it wasn't. I ordered what she said she had for delivery and the timing was a day earlier than Amazon said it would be (but matched what the tracking said). For those saying it is a scam, I'm suspicious of unknown numbers too and cautious but you can't live your life scared. There are spammers and scammers for real, but this wasn't one of them and I didn't give them any information - just listened to them tell me my address and what I ordered and told them which delivery window they offered was convenient for me. I'm not sure how a scammer would know what I ordered and when it was going to be delivered unless my account was hacked (which it wasn't). If you can't take a call from a stranger and listen to somebody without giving up information that would cause you problems, you won't get what you ordered and you'll have bigger problems in the real world.

My carrier just pinged me with 10 rejected calls from this number, all within 2 minutes.  I looked at my emails and I did see that a recent Amazon order was cancelled.  The time of the email and the phone calls were the same.  It may have been a legitimate Amazon call.

I just called the number back and it was a recording stating that there is an email regarding my order.  It also said that it was a call from a 3rd party Amazon partner and if I wanted to change options, to press #9.  I hung up because I didn't want to change anything.  In the future, I will probably answer the call.

The caller called my personal phone number. I did not answer because I did not recognize the number.
He left a message that he was Rodney with DHL express and he needed me to call him back.
I called him back from a work line. He said is this Tammy and I said no. I said you called and left me a message. He said he had a package and it was near a road that I live at but was not my address.  I asked him how he got my number and he said it was linked the the amazon order. I told him I did not have any amazon order. I told him he had the wrong number and address and ended the conversation.

I got a call from this number- only a long pause with no message.  My provider has a service that filters out robocalls- only about two a year get through, but since it was at 6am I thought I'd check it out.  After reading the other comments on this page, called Amazon- they confirmed that it was not their number, so I blocked it.  I had a bad experience with a fraudulent seller and thought it might be related but Amazon says they have no way to get a customer's phone number.   Hopefully that's true and the end of it.

I just called them, their customer service said it was not one of their numbers.
