Yes, a debit card is worse as you don't have as much fraud protection. Call or go to bank ASAP!

I just got a call like these... and glad I found this thread.,,,not from Walmart ...from a company hired by the bank...ya right!

Wanted to give me a $100 gas card for being a valued customer but I would pay a total of $ 3.97 for shipping of the 'gas card' and oh wait... there's more...I can opt to join a club......but I can keep the gas card....

The woman said they represented all the credit card companies.. Visa/Amex/Mastercard/Discover...Since when do they even collaborate? I smelled total scam... already had my address too...and wanted me to give her my credit card #... NOT gonna happen! She tried to reassure me that she was also a card holder and she understands my hesitation.....calls were being recorded.... security measure... blah blah blah...NO WAY...Hope no one got scammed... but you hear about it and unfortunately, some target the elderly...TOTAL SCAM.... get away from them... hang up... hope they burn in HELL!

it is a scam and it is not a scam at the same time. What they explain to you is in fact false... you are not get $100 for Walmart and you have to pay the shipping. You are actually getting enrolled in a monthly membership for a discount money saving program, if you do not cancel you will be charged every month and that's it!! the way they do this is fraudulent!!!

Wow!  I only got offered $100....everyone else appears to have gotten offered so much more.  What am I doing wrong!
I asked him what I did to get this, and could hardly understand a word he said.  He got very cross with me when I asked a number of questions.

I got a letter in the mail stating that I won $100 gift card to walmart, target etc. I called the #on the letter 866-777-5507. Guy picked up the phone and said that I won and he needs my cc# to pay the $4.95 SH fee. I ask to see what company he is working for and he said Dealer Solutions Management. Asked how they got my info, he said from their advertising partner. Told him that I need to do some research on them, he said that I can do what ever I want but the card is still mine. LOL the return address on the letter I received is 5337 north socrum loop road unit 145, Lakeland fl 33808

today 11/8/14 i got this yellow card with my name on it, and it said that i won $100 gift card from walmart and target you know some [***] like that. And so i called because indeed i am a sixteen year old girl, that was too exited for the hundred dolllars, and when i called they asked for my credit card or debit card number, And so i give them my dad's debit card number and they said it was only going to charge  $4.95 or something like that for the shipping. Omg thank got i asked for the debit card number again and my aunt notice something and she said that it was a scam that why dont they just send me the check at home and she can paid for the shipping herself and they just hung up. We after went to the bank and cancelled the card they only took $1 and i feel bad cause that could've been more money than it was. I wrote this so people dont make the same mistake i made, hope you look stuff up to see if its real

yes I  was offered $100 gift card for $4 shipping fee they had my last four digits of my mastercard and expiration and claimed to have my cvc code. I hung up on her because it sounded wayyyy to good to be true. You don't get large sums of money without giving something. I was a telemarketer for timeshare I know how it works.

I have repeatedly told the guy with the heavy foreign accent to not call me again.  He will not take no for an answer and will overtalk me.  He is promising the !00.00 gift card for 1.00 processing fee.   I have also hit zero on my phone to be removed from their list, but expect another call tomorrow......  the number is  1 801 893 3333 from Sandy Utah.  I wish they could be stopped.

They only took 1.00 as a reauthorization to make sure the card was real. Sweetie they was going to take all your dad had in the bank. Lesson learned. And remember if someone is giving you something FREE . its not FREE if your PAYING ANYTHING

I just got the same spam call... though mine was a little different. We received a call from (as it showed up on the caller ID) 1-567-888-8909. But when the phone was answered there was nothing but silence. I tried calling the number back but I got the error message saying the number wasn't valid. That's when I noticed the 888 came after the 567. So I dialed the number with the 1-888 first. I was greeted to someone telling me I won a $100 Wal-Mart gift card for making the call. But I would need to pay $4.95 for shipping. That's when I stopped the lady and said "So this is a scam then because now you need my credit card info". She hesitated and stuttered a little and responded with, "but sir, you called us"....... So yes it is a scam. I might try Wal Mart customer service and see what they say about this.
