Stating the had my mother's ss# date of birth and maiden name. And to clear this matter up they needed a check for $1500.
I said stop calling and you will never rec.any checks or money orders from us. This went on for awhile. Well one day they called a thought they ended the call. Will Alease has a conversation with someone about trying to force individuals into paying her money. Then she went on to say her brother died and she was very happy. Now the mother should show some love. And the mother takes her money and that's why she. Scams people for their hard earned money. - annoyed citizen| 1 replyI've been getting calls from 619-824-3215, a Landline in CAMPO, CA, which the caller states he is with the firemen and police association and follows on asking for some form of supporting - usually asking for money - and I know the call is coming from near the Mexican boarder. Now, how do you think I should respond to that when I don't even live within 100 miles of that supposedly firemen/policemen association? SCAM...that's what I think they are.

- Sir Bedevere replies to No nameThat's about as likely to happen as a phone number to call to stop people cutting you off on the highway.
- telemarketers suckon monday 3/31/14 i received a call from 312-548-1059 and the caller id identified it as coming from RAISE.COM When I answered I specifically asked the caller if he was a sales person but he said he was not. he then asked me if i wanted to buy "gift cards" i then told him to take me off his list and I hung up. He called right back 10 seconds later and i picked up the receiver and put it right down. The very next day he called back and got one of my employees and lied outright. he said he saw an item we had listed on ebay and wanted to discuss it implying he wanted to buy it. he soon was trying to sell us the gift cards again. my employee told him not to call back and hung up. guess what? 20 seconds later he calls right back and says to my employee "want to buy some gift cards"? these people are deceptive and are in violation of the law. I am seeking to file formal charges against them and if they called you I implore you to do the same.

- Precious replies to reporterIf you get a call from someone saying this:
Hi, my name is ____, and I work with a couple of the local home improvement companies in your area and they are offering free quotes on any windows, doors, or patio doors (could also be gutters, siding or roofs depending on your area) with substantial rebates and financing options. Have you thought about doing any updates to your home within the next year?
The people claim to be independent but actually are employed by Yooper Marketing located in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This company calls all over Wisconsin. Usually they have a (715) area code. - Hater| 1 reply941-621-0021 calls all the time in the evening. They hangup before I can find out who they are. It looks like they are spoofing their phone number for a different one.
These are scammers, so don't bother picking up, just block them. - CelticDragon replies to Hater
- Chinacalls| 3 repliesFor 8 weeks have been receiving calls from 35 different numbers in China this is all day and all night have to unplug my phone..AT& T says no way to block calls from another country I am at my wits end do not want to change the # I have had for
40 yeats--any advice?? - Tamianth replies to ChinacallsAT&T is full of it also. If its a cell phone, there are some call blocking apps available. If its a land line, then google call blocking devices and phones. Devices will hold more numbers then phones as a rule and with some whole area codes. Many are around $60.00 or so.
- Mary replies to ChinacallsGet a call blocker. There are many out there and the origin of the call is irrelevant. I have an old one that I can set to block all calls, block specific numbers or area codes, allow only numbers that I've approved, allow all calls and send to voice mail, send certain numbers to voice mail automatically. Mine holds only 270 numbers but there are newer versions that hold thousands. Just google call blockers and you can read about what's available.
- not Michael replies to ChinacallsThere are several possible solutions. The easiest one would be to buy a call blocker. Several are available at places like Best Buy. They run about $70. It attaches to your phone line and blocks numbers you identify as pests. It sounds perfect for your situation.
Another possibility would be to get a cell phone, give that number to all the people allowed to call at night, then unplug your land line at night.
