feel sorry for the people that believe them. But remember if they are calling you and have such personal infor such as you social, address, name, and birth date you are now a target for id theft and that nothing to laugh about. I also suggest if they have your bank info to change your account asap cause they will use what is call demand draft to steal money out of a account.

I fell for this [***] as well, I lost $320.  But from now on I am going to harrass them until I get my money back.  And if I never get it back, I will continue calling them to curse them out or pretend I am part of the FBI or something. lol.

When I woke up today, I got a call from these [***] talking about a payday loan that I haven't paid off(which it turns out I did as I kind of thought,) One acted like he was an officer and was like "Do you know why we are calling?"  lol.  When I said "How do I know if this is a scam or not" they threatened to arrest me. I wasn't sure if there was some huge criminal network with the cops on their side or something or if I had actually paid the loan.  And I knew if I didn't pay the loan I did something bad(even though it was minor.)  I kept saying, "could I pay you tomorrow?"  They would say, "no, it has to be before 8.00 p.m" or you go to court.  So I ended up selling my xbox 360 and all the games to get cash and I ended up giving it away to them.  I knew after I was done if they threatened me with court I would have proof of my payment so there is no reason I shouldn't win in court and wouldn't have to worry anymore.  But after it was all said and done, I sat there at night very recently before going on here and thought "that sounded awefully like a scam."  I mean, the indian guy named Mark, the officer who threatened right off the bad.   Everytime you ask a question they threaten you with court/jail.  What they tried to do and succeeded to do with my stupid ass is keep me busy until I got them their money. So I wouldn't think of going on the internet to actually go check and see if I had actually paid or not. lol.  And of course I had "the time limit."   Don't get fooled folks. Tell em' to [***] OFF if they won't give you any information.

Here's the numbers I've gotten calls from:
    618-200-9344; 510-214-8397; 773-570-6321; 510-751-4928; 203-455-5377; 217-303-5024; 707-737-0206; 877-333-7195; 707-520-7535.

They're all attempting scams, and the three that I've actually had any sort of conversation with (618-200-9344, 510-214-8397, and 707-520-7535) have been reported as such to the FBI tips online reporting, IC3, and the FTC.  The others all called while I was at work and either left messages or didn't; once I knew what was going on with them, I didn't bother to check their messages.

I closed my bank account and opened a new one, placed fraud alerts with the credit bureaus, and notified my employer.  I also upgraded my computer security package.  Fortunately, I didn't send ANYONE any money.

I continue to insist that I did not apply for a loan the middle eastern guy Mark Williams advised it was to late and I was stuck with the loan he proceeded to read back all of my banking information along with some other private information (not sure how this was retrieved) then I was told I would need to go to a Western Union and send $180 to get the loan, I REFUSED ADVISING HIM IF I NEED A LOAN WHY THE HELL WOULD I SEND YOU MONEY THATS FOOLISHNESS! He advised i still have you private information I will debit your acct! This is a STRAIGHT OUT SCAM AND THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED! I later received a call from 510-761-5460 Middle Eastern advising that I received the loan and was goin to be arrested if I did not pay back the money I told him to have me arrested I dont care do what you need to do! I also advised both parties that they have been reported for the SCAMS THEY ARE RUNNING!

Oh I forgot to mention that the a**hole from 707-520-7535 called my work on 5/10 also, and left his name as "Andrew Johnson" (yes, he's Indian or middle Eastern).  My boss said he could barely understand the guy, and since he kept calling while my boss was in a conference call, they just set it on night mode & got their stupid message.  Thank God I had told my boss about this before they started calling my job!  This is the only one to call my work so far.
My boss says he's just going to tell the guy if he calls again that I'm either not there or that they fired me.  Yay for bosses who have your back!

    Payback replies to Lynda
Just ignore all of them. All they could do is make up stuff so it’s better to ignore them. Normal people who go on with their daily lives would never make obsessive calls or bother anybody. These people are either mentally ill or they are being controlled by a bunch of creeps who pays them to make these calls.

It start like this, I was looking for an loan or payday loan to pay off an bill. I receive this call and it seems to be good to be true. So they told me if I send 100 then I will receive an 2000 loan. I know it sounds stupid but I wanted that money. The person name was Steve Page employee ID: EMPTST823GR1 and loan amount was 2000 and payments were 210 month interest 104. Phone number is 2022414267. So I sent the money gram reference number 77816710. After I sent the money then they are telling me about bank to  by bank transfer fee of 350 that now I have to send again. They say that they are the federal reserve bank 202-506-9995. They are stating that they are federal reserve bank at Washington dc. they deal with wells Fargo loan. then they gave me an address at 202 warranton dr. The loan company called me from this number 408-663-1221. I told them that I wanted an refund. they stated that I could get an statue where I get my $100 by western union then they gave me the MTCN or money transfer control number of 1572829100. I went to western union but the money wasn't there. Then I called back but this time I spoke to an David Luckily. He told me to go to money gram this time the statue was for $250. I had to get the money and take out the $100 out then send them the 150 back. I went to money gram with the reference number 96201823. Once again the money wasn't there. So I ask them for there information then he told me to [***] off. I receive an call next day I got an call stating they take people money and they aren't an real loan company. Then on the same number they pretending to be an federal grant company. Saying I receive an grant in my name . They gave me this information email kint_139@yahoo.com and the number I should call if I want any information is 773-410-0886. website www.federal.gov.end.dept.com. The people I need to talk to are John miller, David Peterson, Barbara smith, and David Anderson. On 5/8/2012 I received an called from an David Anderson at 876-436-4847 saying its an 200 fee. On 5/15/2012, I receive another call from an  David Peterson from 876-847-6741 he was saying that I need to get my number change and he was going to change it. I told him imp not changing it. Now today 5/18/2012 I receive an call saying from an mike this time same number asking how much money and send it now. I googled TGK Services LLC, and it looks legit; they have offices in Buffalo and Cheektowaga NY with addresses given on the site, and another one in Homestead PA.
When I googled Smith Ross & Associates, what I came up with was several listings for Ross, Smith & Assoc.
But there was one for Smith Ross & Associates that links back to this website (800notes) with the phone number of 888-909-9751.  You didn't say what number you got your call from, but this posting is FULL of references to Joe Thompson, and this one sounds like a total scam.
So I don't know where that leaves you; maybe you have a legitimate debt that TGK is trying to collect in addition to a scammer plying his trade.  Check it out for yourself & see what you think.
    And you're NOT stupid!!!!!!
