I've gotten 9 calls fr. these guys the past two days. (Calgary) Finally got the east indian guy to answer today the other times no response... just the sound of a few dozen tele marketers in the background. He was actually polite when I b.s.'d him and told him that I was getting a new computer. Told him 10 times to remove my number and he finally said thank you, good bye. We'll see if he calls back tomorrow. If so, I'll have to anti up for a call blocker I guess.

I have received a call from this number: 004259981533 today, early morning. I live in Switzerland. The person had an Indian accent and said that he was from Microsoft and was calling from Australia. He was insisting on turning on my computer. He claimed to be able to fix the problems with my computer, which I did not have. Also, he said that there were many registry errors that would soon prevent my computer from starting. Beware, it's a scam.

I live in Scandinavia and had a call today from a pushy Indian-sounding guy who tried to get me to believe that Microsoft had got him to ring me about some obscure "problem with Windows". I´ve heard of these scams before and so tried to get contact information from the guy. He gave me a name and stated that he was calling from Ontario, Canada. I then asked for a website and he mumbled something he then upon request didn´t wish to repeat, it sounded something like "3alive.com" - when I told him I don´t even use Windows, he started asking me questions about my supposed Apple computer (which he amusingly called Macintosh, you don´t hear that term very often these days!). He had my number and my name but I´m listed so that´s no big mystery.
Went straight onto Google and found this site.

I live in Sweden and received à call from 004259981533. He told me that My computer was infected and wanted me to start My computer. I refused. He spoke with an afrikan accent. Told me he was calling from Londonderry.
Exactly the same thing happened to me on Jan. 06 except that it was a woman with indian accent who claimed to be from Dell in Huston (at least that's what I understood. She woke me up) I had recently bought a new Dell and thought they realized that they had made a mistake. Did you re-formate your harddrive now?

An Asian guy also woke me early this morning to say I wouldn't know about it myself but I have got a problem with my pc, I asked which one, We have teenagers and young adults in the house so 5 laptops/pc's on most of the time they are home. He called from 087024000104. Wasn't in the mood to play or I would have messed with his head until he thought I was a loon and removed my number from his list. I am ex-directory and only ever give my mobile number out online.

I hate scamming! I personally don't do ANY business with anyone (including my bank) via the telephone! I hang up on these people before they even have a chance. You all should do the same!

I just got this call (well my mum got it on her BlackBerry). He did had some kinda of accent and He even told me "sir, don't u even know english? do u speak english language?!" I made a post just now because the number I got was "192318". But yeah, It's pretty much a scam like this one since he was saying "Microsoft Windows" and I use Norton/Malwarebytes to check all PCs in my house xD

I was searching the net to find if any other people had an Indian accent guy call them, he said he worked for the "Windows" div. of Microsoft and they had detected me as a registered user of Microsoft Windows . . .had too many errors and this was worse than virus because it was destroying softwear in the background. He directed me to the manage area of my computer and indeed found a list of errors and warnings, he said I must Immediately be connected to the tech, at which point also he wanted my computer number, imagine, he had my phone # and no other info., I told him I did not like doing business on the phone, for it could be a hacker, at which, he said: "Are you calling me a hacker?" I told him No, but you could be, I then said: Before we go further, I'm calling Microsoft to see if they do business like this. I told him to call me back in a day or two and if he was legit we could go further. The phone call came from Belvue, Washington. 425-998-1533 I called Microsoft and the girl I talked to said it was a bogus phone call. I asked her where she was located, and she said the Pillipines! (a side note: Thats where a lot of jobs are...overseas) God Help!

Got the same call but from Bellinham, Wa. The guy was a jerk, and I cursed him and exited. Then, I called his number back out of curiosity and was connected to the FCC portal. Craft devils, these guys. No cigar for them here though!
I got a similiar call from "Alex". As it happened there had been an e-mail problem and error messages but I got uncomfortable when he asked me to log on to the internet. I asked for his number and he gave it to me. 914 373-7861. This does not sound legit!!!
I got a call this morning before 8 a.m. from someone claiming to be from Microsoft saying my windows computer was displaying error messages. I said I do not believe it does and if I had a problem I would be calling you, not you calling me. He hung up on me. There was no number displayed, just unknown name/number. The guy had an east indian accent and there was background noise that sounded like a call centre. I have since found out that it has happened to two of my friends since the beginning of the year.

I got a call from number 004259981533 the 24 january and today the same person called again, this time from number 002064560661, i live in sweden and i told him not to try to fool me again.
Most probably the caller center is some sort of tech support, ex tech support employees, or friends of tech support who hacked or leaked your information to scammers. Outsourcing is a disgusting word.

Just had a call from 002064560661 (from Ismailia in Egypt) offering to help me with my Windows problems. How kind of them. Told the lady I didn't even have a computer and she promptly put the phone down. ;-)
