I have received several calls from seemingly 2-3 men with heavy accents from a mid eastern country claiming I owe for a payday loan. They constantly call my cell and claim the authorities are taking action. When I told them to send me the original documents, I haven't heard back from them. It's truely a scam and not a very good one. They are unprofessional. They sent a Word document telling me to enter my credit card information to authorize them to pay $375. They call themselves INV Cash. Phone # is 478-247-7114 Fax: 1-646-861-5983 email:invcashadvance@gmail.com The person in charge calls himself Frank Miller Please don't fall for this lame scam!

I have been getting calls the past week from 1-904-410-3886. I called them back and was told by a man with a very heavy accent that I took out an internet loan in September 2010..(I didn't) and that legal action was going to be taken against me. When I told him I did not take out a loan he told me.."Then don't pay it and see what happens!" and hung up on me! I called him back and he then barraged me with all of my personal information- name, birthday, ssn, bank account number and address!! Said I owed 542.00. I asked for the name of the company and he just said "Payday Loan" company. I told him again that I didn't take out the loan and could he send me some documentation from the company? He told me he had no such information and that it is up to me if I pay or not, but that legal action would be taken against me and I would end up paying 5000.00 then. It was obviously an attempt to scare me fraudulently! I told him as much and he told me that I would find out tomorrow, at 10:00 am what was going to happen to me. I told him I was going to call the authorities and hung up on him. He really freaked me out!
I can't believe they had my bank info. I closed my checking account and wonder if I should change my phone numbers. Horrible that these evil people can upheave our lives so much. I wish someone would catch them and shut them down...

Folks, I want to let you know that both the FBI and FTC are actively investigating this. I work for a federal court judge. These [***] made a HUGE mistake calling me. The FBI field office for my region of my state happens to be two doors down from ours. Each call I received was recorded, and the FBI is tracing the origin of the calls. Being that I work in a federal agency, the spoof number system DOES NOT WORK. What is distressing is that some of these calls originate within the US. However, that makes it that much easier to track them..... they will be caught!!!
They screwed with the wrong girl here. The last call I got, three weeks ago, I put them on hold and got the FBI agent , who took the call. We tracked the number to Texas.
Ding dong.......before they know it, they will be busted!

Sounds much the same as what I just received. I got a call from 2095634218, telling me that I owed money to them because I defaulted on a loan. When I asked for information I was told the only copy of information I would receive would be when I was summoned to court. They then told me I could forestall this by paying $700 right now by sending a statement authorizing them to deduct that amount from my checking acct via my Visa debit card. I pressed for proof that I owed them money and they told me the only documentation I would receive would be the summons on Monday morning if I failed to pay. I told them this was nothing short of a scam and extortion. I have friends who are both active/retired federal agents as well as a former assistant US District Attorney. All those I spoke with were islamic background and the first, who was obviously new at this, stated he was from Surinam.
The second time I spoke with them they again claimed that I owed money and they now owned the note. Wanted me to write a letter in this manner and send it:
"Attn: Jason Marks: I (my name) (last 4 of SSN) want to fix this issue with a payment of $XXX.XX. (today's date) with my visa (Visa number)."
I asked for a copy of the bill so I could verify it. They refused and told me that if I didn't do this today I would be receiving a summons for the state of California, followed by an arrest warrant. It is obviously a call center as I heard numerous other people in the background. I'm forwarding this on to the police and federal authorities.

I received the same calls just recently. The men I spoke with have middle eastern accents. They have been calling me back to back to back claiming I owe as well. They refuse to send me any documentation. Each time they called, they said my name and the last four of my social security number. They also threatened me with going to court and warrants. A "Frank Miller" is also the same person I've had to deal with. The calls are coming from MA (508) 623-2299, OH (320) 059-331, MN (740) 277-5701, and DC (202) 239-6000 with the email as invcashadvance@gmail.com. They tried to get me to send the money through money gram or by providing them a debit card. They call me at least 5-6 times a day. I will be making a formal complaint to shut this operation down. The sad part is someone will pay them just so they can be left alone and there will be other scams. People beware.

I received a call on my cell phone from a 1-302-059-331 phone number. It would not let me call it back because the number was not a true telephone number. I listened to my voice mail and it the person (spoke very broken english) told me he was an office named Bob Taylor and there was a lawsuit against me for a loan. The number they told me to call back was 1-478-247-7114. I called it back and whoever picked up the call when I called stated (can I help you). I asked for paperwork to be sent to me, they said they would send it to my email, and I still asked for documents in the mail. They refused and got very snippy with me, I told them if they contacted me one more time I was going to get my lawyer and go after them. The man hung up on me. This happened to me a few months ago, where I was told I had a warrent out for my arrest and they listed my entire social security number on my home answering machine. They refused to send me any documents again. I called the Better Business Bureau and the kind lady I spoke with said she was getting numerous calls about this type of scam and told me next time they had called me to say something to the extent that they have the wrong number. They called again and I told them that I just got the phone yesterday and they were calling the wrong person. They called a few more times and I stuck with that story and they stopped calling. Untill just now when I received another call months apart. This is getting out of control. No one give them any information!! I wish they get shut down once and for all. Its sad because they try and convince people that they owe money from loan they took out, when they never did

They can access your personal info from facebook. They called my sister today!! And called me from 210-519-4997. Make sure your facebook is set to "friends only". Don't pay them. Even if you had a payday loan. They HAVE to send you documentation. The court has to send you documentation. If they continue to harrass my sister, I will have my attorney find a way to put an end to this. ONLY have an attorney contact them.
I know how you feel. They call me almost everyday. Call my cell phone and call me in work. Each time they call I am going to be arrested in my work tomorrow, have a suit filed against me in NY city court. They call my references and threaten them.
I contacted the PA State Attorney Generals Offic Consumer Affairs Div and the woman there actually called them and told them to take me off their list! And they ignored her. I called my local police who told me to call the Federal Trade Commision.
No one cares. They acknowledge its a nuisance but I guess it's a low priority.
These scammers even took $49 out of my account. The withdraw originated from the Bank of Delaware who said they have anonymous account holders and some of them the bank has been getting complaints against.

Have any of you looked at the on-line payday loans? I was thinking of taking out an on-line payday loan a few months back and completed the application. Within 2 seconds my cell phone, email and work phone were going crazy with companies trying to get me to take out the loan with them. I decided against taking out that loan and now I have some crazy men from what souds to be from India calling me telling me I need to appear in a court in another state next week for not paying back my payday loan. They gave "American" names when speaking with them which in itself is a complete lie and said they worked for a Law Firm, but they weren't themselves attornies. I asked when the loan was taken out and they couldn't answer me. I had myself so worked up last night over this and now am feeling a tad better knowing that this is happening to others as well. Please don't get me wrong I'm not happy that others are experiencing this anguish just that I'm not alone. Please pass the word to EVERYONE you know to stay off the internet payday loan sites. They are bad news. I'll be opening a new bank account today.

These people are a complete scam. They called my joba and had to file a police report. They call from several different numbers and they like to use the names: Kevin Miller or Richard Smith. They all have indian accents and are about as american as I am Indian. They call from the following numbers: 646-820-7241, 646-389-3614, 646-470-0863. They probably work in Mumbai, India somewhere and have the local prefix of 646 which is NYC. I have filed police reports to have them stop calling. They somehow have accurate data of people they are calling. Whatever you do, do not confirm any information and tell them you will notifying the police of this scam. They come across as being legal but they are not. They will read off some bogus "Federal Charges" to you and make you think you are about to be taken to jail unless you somehow "settle" your account. Be advised, you CANNOT have any Federal Charges posted against you for a payday loan. you can look this up for yourself on the internet, but these people are VIPERS, and like to scare the hell of out of people thinking they are going to go to jail. I repeat, there are NO laws in place that you will go to jail or have federal charges against you for a payday loan. DO NOT give these people ANY additional information and call your local police department to report it! I hope these pepole get what's coming to them for inventing such a horrible scam and messing with people who do not know any better. DO NOT SEND MONEY OR CONFIRM ANY INFORMATION. DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION AT ALL!!!! To prove this is a scam you can to to this link from the FBI and they are aware and investigating it. http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710
