Call from "Unknown Name;" "Private Number."

I keep getting an unknown caller on my caller id but no one answers and their is no number. Can i trace this call.

You may want to include "tracing" a call is not so easy as you might think, and if you are being called by a sleezy telemarketer or scammer, you best bet is to ignore the calls.  In general, interacting with callers just gets you more calls.

How can I find out who's calling me private number 2 days ago , there's nothing more frustrating then saying hello while someone is listening to your voice and saying nothing

I answered a call from a Private Number talked to a man with a heavy oriental accent. Asked about my education more important to him was if I was a high school graduate or GED receiver. If I was I was going to receive free money by mail and an email telling me what to do with it. Next he was going to transfer my call to someone else and I was supposed to tell that person yes too all questions about wanting to go back to school or furthering my education. At this point I told the man no thank you and remove me from his call list. He told me I was a dumb person for refusing this free money I hung up on him.

No, he's a "dumb person" for thinking you would fall for his scam.

This call came to me only now , what I should do to get away from it ? I may answer call or not

try reading through the thread instead of replying to a person that is most likely not returning after 5 years!

For thd last eight months I have had unknown numbers call me every single day without fail. I have never answered, and I have a call blocker on unknown numbers. It doesnt cost me anything, and I dont even see or hear the phone ringing, they get instantly hung up on. Yet for eight months, they persist. Just why lol

Ditto!  2 or 3 calls a day, though the caller id shows up as Unavailable, Out of Area.  All such calls are blocked - yet the calls persist???

While this response is a bit late, I use a call blocker. Once the number is blocked, my phone will ring once and stop, while the caller will continue to hear the ringing on their end. So the answering machine never picks up.

Calls coming in daily several times. I grabbed the phone while distracted and answered !!!
A women told me she is calling regarding a back brace which my insurance will cover. Told her don't need one and she is lying then hung up.
I torn a muscle and needed a boot and crutches about 2 weeks ago.
Now I wonder

"Private Name, Private Number calls twice daily, at 9:12 am & 5:03 pm. It's exactly the same time every day. No message is left, the caller waits on the line for my answer phone to hang up on her/him/it. I suppose it's a fundraiser: when I donate money to favorite causes & have to give a phone number, I give out my landline & never answer it.
