got a call from a unknown caller, the caller ID says V13018524800109 with no phone number. they were calling for breast cancer donations, they called at 8:50pm.. a little late to be calling. must be a scam because anybody can make up that they are a breast cancer company looking for donations over the phone! beware!
got robocall from (on caller ID) "Private Name, Private Number" on Friday 02-08-13 @ 915AM. The caller was infamous 'Rachel from CARD SERVICES' saying their was "nothing wrong with my account.......lower interest......press 1 to talk to a 'rep' or 2 to be removed". I pressed '1' but for the second time in 2 days - in switching my call from their initial call system to their SCAM operators the call got DISCONNECTED.
Maybe my 'SCAMMER HORN,' or the raunchy British UTUBE music, or the Cuss UTUBE Videos that I give back to the SCAMMERS have done some good.

I want name display of unknown caller at my mobile
If the number comes up Unknown Name/Private Number it's most likely a bottom feeder 3rd party debt collector. If you are stupid enough to answer and you ask who's calling, they'll refuse to tell you. If your state allows, record the call and put a call trace on it. No legit business needs to block calls, period.

Summary of my sermons here at 800notes over the last 3 years:
Related Issue: If you get e-mails with [No Subject}, be wary of them, too! These criminals make trouble just for the fun of it.
Again, Caller ID is your best defense against scam/spam and phishing callers. If you see a name or number you do not recognize (or no number at all), do not pick up the call.
Senior Citizens: Educate the older folks about fake phone calls. Too many of these horrible things are targeted at the elderly, many of whom grew up in days when you could trust your telephone company. They will see the ID "Washington D.C." and think it is an important call!
Thank you.

I have an answering machine, and get these "not provided" or "private" calls on my caller ID several times a day, and have for years. I NEVER answer them, and they hang up even before the answering machine answers. Why do I keep getting these zillions of calls, when they are never answered. So so annoying.

Receiving this same call I was getting a while back from a east indian accent telling me there is a problem with my windows operating system. Called me twice today, I hung up the first time, a house later he called back and I told him to remove me from his scam list and he called me a stupid [***] and hung up.

LGIVINGMOMENTS: Finally having had enough of their calls, I hit the pound key repeatedly. When I stopped, the voice of an angry woman came on, demanding what I thought I was doing. "This is a charity," she said. I don't care what charity it is. If you get calls from them more than once a year, that is too often. So, hit those pound buttons and let those begga-muffins know that there are a lot of members of the public who had had enough.
Well i agree with you and i will like to ask you what do you need to dial to make it block/unknown

Lately (for the past couple of weeks), several times a day, including Sundays, I've been getting calls from "Private numbers". Using the "Mr. Number" app on my cellphone, I've set alll "private/blocked" numbers to be hung up on automatically. I'm wondering if a couple of debt collectors that have been hounding me for OLD, outside-of-SOL credit card bills have started using private numbers, since I don't answer ANY number I don't recognize.
