Keep in mind, the 909 area code IS valid !!!  It covers part of the Riverside/San Bernardino, California area.
Unfortunate that we're getting scammers using these lines.

909-899-xxxx are typically landlines
909-210-xxxx and 909-471-xxxx are typically mobiles.
(I have family down that way so I know)

Received  a call from an individual you could hardly understand telling me that my computer was going to be hacked and he could help....@$!#$!#%

Got a call from 909_581_4983 if I get a call on that number I already know its a scam. That number is set up to catch such scammers! Hope they try again I will eventually track them down! Wish me luck.

909 712 5675. Someone who barely knew English said she was from Microsoft and wanted to talk about my computer.

626 699 4567. A man named Jason said he was from General Electric.  Call got cut off before he told me what he wanted.  It came not 5 minutes after a call from 909 712 5675
