"Help Me" is probably being strong-armed by the same Williams Rush & Associates who are being discussed with regards to student loans. Or he wants to think he is.

How does Aaron's have anything to do with student loans? I think the guy's just posting to hear himself talk-but that's my opinion.

I'm thinking "Williams Rush & Associates" probably deals with more than just student loans (I mean, that seems like unnecessarily limiting their business, doesn't it?) They may do collection for Aaron's as well. I think the correspondent "Help Me" is a shill for the collector trying to create F.U.D. in the hearts and minds of anyone who might get a call.

I posted here because I googled the name Williams Rush, it doesn't matter anymore anyway because they offered me a settlement and I took it.

Here's an idea, we could feed "help me" to Rex and then he could be like that guy in the movie "The Fly" going "help me, help me" and he would live up to his moniker.

So what you are saying is that criminal theft charges were brought against you but this so called collection agency made a deal with you bypassing the district attorney's office which would have jurisdiction in a criminal case.  They are dismissing the criminal charges against you?  Without your having to go to court?

You know this whole thing about problems with a rental TV really makes me think that you are the same guy in another thread by the name "unhappy" who claimed to live in Texas, and a guy by the name of "This is BS" who claimed to live in California.  48 states to go, which one is it this time?
That other thread by the way was: 8772505540

"I posted here because I googled the name Williams Rush"

You, sir, are a liar. There no links to 800notes.com in the first 20 pages of Google results from that search.

We all know how and why you came to this web site.

It boggles my mind sometimes how stupid these shills can be when they make claims like this. It's a simple matter to run a Google search and verify that it's a lie in a matter of minutes.

What I suspect may be going on here is a few years ago the Dept. of Education outsourced student loan debt collections to "private" companies. I'm under the understanding that these are defaulted loans (Nine or more months past due)

Below is a list with some companies who are well known for dubious behavior by the regulars here

    http://www.finaid.org/loans/collectionagencies.phtml

We always advise consumers it is better to deal with the original creditor than a third-party collection agency. This appears to be even more important in this case. Student loan debt is a huge problem and the economy is really rough. Please deal with Salie Mae or the Department of Education before defaulting. There are forbearances and other options available. If you default, you are literally going to be thrown to the wolves.

I'm not a liar, I googled Williams Rush and Associates on my phone and this was 5th on the first page. And yes they told me they were filing the charges in my county court unless I settled. I didn't have enough to settle so I called the next day and tried to make a payment plan. They told me it was to late they had already electronically filed. When I got paid I called back and they told me if I settled they would recall the case and it wouldn't go any further.
Also I have never posted on any other threads or used any different names. I'm not really sure what everyone's problem is with my post. I was just telling my experience with this company. I didn't know it was only meant for student loans. Won't happen again!
