Getting more calls after signing up on the Do Not Call List

I suppose your right, but I did not view it the same way as you have. None of what Abe posted relates to me on why I get unwanted calls. I own my house and vehicles, have no credit debt of any kind and my only monthly expenses are utilities, insurance, property tax, TV/Internet/Phone, food and personal needs.
I have had an increase of calls over the past 2 years and none of it relates to my actual finances or the DNC list as being the cause. I see what your pointing out and its just something that escapes me  on why I get more and more calls. I can only guess the increase is due to an increase of scam call centers and technology that allows them to be more efficient at calling random numbers.
Even though most are blocked, I can still see the increase from my phone records and the ones that have gotten through, that I spoke with, were all different people, very few repeats of the same scammer.
The Telemarketers were also all different, but I suspect I somehow got on a list for Investors, as I get many cold-calls for investing in anything and everything. I even get an occasional debt collector (which I learned to recognize from 800notes, thank you for that) for people I never heard  of.

If I seemed disrespectful to Abe, I'm sorry, it just seemed like an off topic post to me.

Well, property records are online, but there have been two websites lately that have popped up with tons of information.  This is one of them, a new one that is a lot like hodges where it has a ton of misinformation.  I looked my name up on it and it has me, my address, and my phone numbers mixed up with at least one other, if not two people.  http://www.familytreenow.com/
I have to find the link to the other place but it was a national property record search site.

And hiding where they are really at.  I would like to send them a certified letter telling them to remove my information, and possibly file a lawsuit, but I would like to know if the are in the US first.  I'm guessing they aren't.

I have found my  property records online via NETR Online , by inputting my address. I did find some information on  that familytree site, but luckily I get "We couldn't find any exact matches for your search criteria. Showing expanded matches." for my exact spelling of my name.  Yes I changed the spelling to keep it out of searches  and for good reasons, just look at the Troll's behavior towards it.
As careful as I have been protecting my Identity online, I'm sure its out there and with the ever growing technology being placed into anyone's hands, I'm sure the scams and deceitful people will increase over time.

This is happening to me as well right after I put my # on the DNC. What is the protocol for resolving this? Should I just remove my number from that database?

Well if you had taken the time to read the directions, you would have known that it takes 31 days for your number to be sent out to be scrubbed.  Now, considering that everyone is getting tenfold more calls because it is much safer and more lucrative for criminals to call you than to rob banks or break into homes, that has to be factored in.  Further, how do you know you are getting more calls?  Did you keep an accurate log before signing up?

I signed up several years ago and my calls have gone down drastically.  I have only received 4 calls this year.  So, do what you want, but by not being on that list you not only will receive calls from legitimate telemarketers (people selling things) and you will not be able to report any phone calls from them as well.  Also, I have to wonder if you actually read what the DNC covers.

What the Do Not Call lists covers and doesn’t cover and why:  https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry
    Quote:
If I register my number, will ALL unwanted calls stop?
No, the Do Not Call Registry prohibits sales calls. You still may receive political calls, charitable calls, debt collection calls, informational calls, and telephone survey calls.

In addition, companies may still call if you’ve recently done business with the company, or if you’ve given the company written permission to call you. However, if you ask a company not to call you again, it must honor your request. Record the date of your request

I wouldn't say should couldn't report any phone calls. Robocalls are still illegal, even if you aren't on the DNC, right?  But yes, please people get on the DNC list!
