So just out of curiosity what are you going to do when they start calling your cell phone?
Yes, just got it for the first time...lots of static, couldn't understand a word so hung up. Weird!!!
Yes! Happen today. Was not home to answer phone, but thought it odd that the caller ID was our own name & number. Interesting. Not too long ago, I answered a call with a caller ID of Bank of America wanting to refinance a credit card. I asked him if he was a representative of BofA...he replied 'yes'. Then I asked him, "If you are a BofA representative, why would you not know that we don't have a BofA credit card"? He got angry, said.. "cuz your stupid" and then hung up. Not sure of how this happened, but immediately afterward, the phone rang again, same guy giving me his CC deal in a very nice tone. I told her we were not interested because "your stupid" and hung up. I then called Bank of America's fraud division. They asked me to send an email to them with all the details and the phone number. I did and have not heard from the guy again. Amazing.
Both my dad and myself have gotten calls like this lately (with our own number as the caller ID that is calling itself). My dad got two a few minutes apart to both of his phone numbers, one at his home, and the other at his previous home that he just moved out of (in another town in a different exchange), that forwards to his new number. We got one each today, about 5 minutes apart, making me think they're going down some sort of alphabetical list to do robocalls since my first initial is a B and his is an R, with the same last name.
My wife inadvertently answered the one we got, noticing my name in the ID, and not noticing it was our home number. The person on the other end was trying to peddle some sort of credit card interest rate thing. I wish she'd gotten some details of the company behind it, but totally reeks of scamminess.
On more searching through call logs, this has happened to me and my dad twice. Interestingly, the pattern holds, my number gets tried prior to his, on both occasions. It happened to both of us on 7/5, and previously on 6/7.

One of my dear from India receiving calls from an invalid number 11117893 several times a day.She dont know the person and from where he is calling. i hope some one help.
Keep in mind however that *67 does not work on spoofed or VOIP numbers. I eventually gave up using it because the only numbers I could block actually happened to be from, for lack of a better term, legitimate callers. But the credit card scammers, PC repair, numbers with all zeroes on the call display, the block is useless.
I just received a call a few minutes ago for the first time. It was also from Rachel regarding refinancing a credit card (of which I do not have). At the end of the call, I was asked to press "9" for more information. I did not and hung up. Called Time Warner Cable and they said it's a spam call (Spoofing) and they've been working on how to block them out, but have not as of yet. Also said it was good that I did not press 9 and, in the future, do not answer the call. I was informed to call law enforcement to get them involved. Making that call as soon as I finish this!

Just happened to me. From "Rachel at card services." A robocall. What branch of law enforcement are we supposed to call??
I also received the same type call. My name and phone number on caller ID. I did not answer because I knew it must be one of those calls where the caller can change his/her number (that will show up on the called party's caller ID) at random. The caller left no message.
I just got one of these calls. Said it was me calling from my own phone number.

No, Yes, No. Just ignore like the rest. Crooks are crooks, they do illegal stuff. The call I received was on a business VOIP landline, the spoofing phone number & caller ID was my cell phone.
I have got several of these with my name and number. I called my local phone company AT&T and they are aware of this and said they would fix it so they could not call again, We will see.
Not only are they calling me with my name and number they are calling other people with my name and number as one person has already called me about it. I assured them it was not me and I was reporting it to my phone company.
