I can see both sides, but agree that the situations that have calls from regular phone lines will be rare. Amazingly, the several calls I receive per day have entirely dropped off the last couple days. They have probably scrubbed my number now, but I won't celebrate unless it continues that way.
I relate the hiring notices as good news, I know it is from high employee churn, not expanding the operations. The slips are probably as a result of that, as new people come on. If I can stay involved, I will, it is better that these companies can be shut down from bugging everyone.
What is interesting was the note that the address for LIR in Tempe may not be a real physical location for their business. After finding and verifying the address for the Phoenix location that is on the job ads, I discovered that there is a business located at that exact address. http://www.arizona-businessdirectory.com/comp ... erica-inc_39637 I noticed that they were wanting people to come in a side or back door in one of the ads...could it be that they just have a small space in this business to hide the calling center? Something I am going to look into on Monday.
As a contrast, there is a few Siler operations (or portions that are also run elsewhere) all in the same suite, for a rather large office complex. It can be a business from the same operation that is different, but your data seems rather tenuous. Maybe just an employee (if true), where they can set up a specific time to meet at a particular door.
"No sales, just qualifying the constant INBOUND calls coming in." One would assume that those "incoming calls" are just from those who "press 1 to speak to a live operator" when they get one of the spam calls; they probably appear as an incoming call to the chump sitting at the phone bank.
"If you can qualify 10 deals in a week, you get a flat screen TV every time!!!" So 10 suckers in a single week must be considered an outstanding performance? From 40 hours sitting at a phone bank? Says it all.
WOW! A TV every time? So, if you are a really good scammer, how many tv's can you fit in your mother's basement where you live when you are not at the call center?
How does my data seem week? I have links and phone confirmation concerning this business. The Larry in craigslist ad is Larry Penman - I called and asked for Larry Penman, but he was busy and couldn't come to the phone. The add showing two business at that address in Phoenix...I called the business and they told me there was a call center in the building, but in a different suite. Why would Larry, who owns and runs LIR Group, post a craigslist ad for people to show up at a certain address to apply for a job and not actually be there? Please tell me what data I need to make this case against them stronger?
I responded at the point where you had an electronics business at an address you had looked up. The information now that you have learned there is a call center, run by Larry Penman, at the location is more promising. Larry does have a LinkedIn profile if anyone wants to look it over.
I saw the Linkedln on Larry, but not much information there. I wish there was a way that those of us on here can contact each other privately so we can work together to out these people and their scams.

I just called Larry Penman at 866-279-3317 in their illegal Phoenix calling center. I asked him how come his company called me from a spoofed number last Wednesday and he said that they do not spoof numbers. LIE (see my first post in this thread). Then he told me not to call him again and he threatened to report me. I told him I already had reported him to the FTC and the FBI. I encourage everyone to please call this number 866-279-3317 and ask them why are they using illegal robo calling practices and spoofing numbers.
It might be better to see how someone in his position can describe their system, and how it operates (i.e. how new "sales leads" are generated). Most likely you will get the brush-off, but someone fully legit should be able to show how they are complying with the DNCR, and not spoofing numbers. Even better, to get a defector telling how they do certain details.
It took several phone calls before Larry actually spoke to me. I did ask the lady who answered the phone how they get all the inbound calls and she said it was a part of a 'dial 1' promotion. I told her that the numbers are spoofed. She said that wasn't true that if you called the number that called you then you would get their office. I think that it is possible that all the people working the phones have no idea that they are working for a company that is operating illegally. If anyone wants to call them and probe for answers, feel free and post the comments here.
Most of the bosses are going to keep their people in the dark, or there is just going to be an assumption that they are operating within the boundaries of the law. "But you 'opted-in' by pressing '1' on your phone!". I've even seen them interrupt their canned greeting by asking two random questions, so that they can justify it as a "survey call".
Many of the initial drones will attempt to throw mention of the calling information by saying "we have offices all over". I think one of the major inroads will be locating the auto-dialing equipment. Just how many of these things are out there, and do they have some common supplier / misused VOIP brandname equipment to them?
You have your pet, I have mine. I'm wondering what agency entity could have a friendly talk with Lee Siler. His daughter's name is on his "Madison and Company" brand, and I have had his employees saying that a charge would show up on my card from outside the United States, I want to know which country and why he needs to operate that way (it smells of limiting the ability to contest the charge).
