- Pino replies to Shill Buster| 1 replyI tell 'em everyday. I'm 75 y/o not a sucker. Not calling any spoofed number.
They got my info through facebook.
I need to update my bio! - JoeMama replies to PinoI never put any personal info on Facebook.
- Genia Hammobd replies to Letsgetthem| 1 replyI have the name and number of the Head Sales Manager. Please email me at:
conniehammond1@me.com and I'll give you his name and phone number!!!
I received an "ID BLOCKED" call on my cell phone and made the stupid choice to answer it. Stupid is nit s condition, it's a choice.
A rep explained the reason for the call and asked for infornation to verify my identity. I did give him some of my information and he proceeded to check to see if we qualified for a lower interest rate on our Visa Credit Card. We qualified so he then transferred me over to their sales manager. I won't go into all of the details of our conversation but he became angry and rude when I told him I would have to talk with my husband before making financial decisions. After putting him in his place I asked him for his phone number and his name. He gave me his phone number but this horrible static would happen. Well, I finally heard it and wrote it down. You should have heard the static when he told me his name. I stopped him and basicalky told him that if the static didn't stop he could forget about my business and register a complaint with the BBB. Like magic, the "disruption" stopped. Hmmmm? He was using a cell signal disrupter...the sound of the static gives it away.
As it turns out, his name and number are legit. I called the number and it's valid. Strange though, the rep that answered was so suprised he was almost speechless. When I asked for the sales manager by name he stammered and said you want to speak to who? I said his name again told him he'd given it to me to me so I could call back. "Oh Peter ----- yes I'll transfer you!! Before I did anything, I called my bank manager to put a red flag on my account.
I would like to know how they got my information because I firmly believe they're a RIP OFF GROUP and have too much access to my confidential informatio. - Tamianth replies to Genia HammobdDo a search on your name and number, any place such as spokeo that shows up, make them remove it.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

email: fccinfo@fcc.gov - Dorothy| 1 replyGang,
I am one of the victims of LIR Group, LLC and now I am getting at least 6-8 calls a day from spoofed numbers. I was so frustrated by the slowness of FTC that I called to complain to a live agent. Thanks to the information you guys provided on this site, I relayed the information to the FTC agent and here is the Complaint Tracking Number from FTC: 61543956. I told the agent that simply filing the web form is taking too slow and ineffective since LIR Group is escalating the calls from one a day to 5 times a day to my cell phone. I told the agent that something needs to be done NOW, IMMEDIATELY when more and more people are victimized. I hope that the FTC does a surprise raid on the call center and arrest Larry Penman. Just to let you know..... - Pete replies to DorothyDon’t hold your breath waiting for the FTC to act on this. They think that Congress put them in charge of filing not enforcing.
- HellBlazerLIR Group, LLC is most likely using Florida boiler-room operations to commit fraud. There was a similar occurrence of this State to State connection- Arizona/Florida operation with AWD;

“AWD’s merchant account was shut down and shortly thereafter the CAM Services account was also closed. This left Western GPS with no way to conduct business and it actually ceased operations for several weeks as it scrambled to find a vehicle to process consumer payments. GPS found a temporary solution through Mr. Wayne Norris, owner of two Florida entities involved in similar interest rate telemarketing ventures – W&M Enterprises (“W&M”) and WM&T Enterprises (“WM&T”).”
At any rate, Florida cardholder services boiler-rooms are operating wide open;

Reading Letsgetthem's experience contributes to my baseline understanding of the Robocall industry that increasingly plagues my cell phone existence. Not everyone will take the time as she/he did to get through the intentional barriers these companies employ. Yes, having the numbers is critical but they are constantly changing. Letsgetthem has saved me—and I suspect others—time. I sincerely thank both of you for your work. I will continue doing research. All the best to you.
- Will replies to LetsgetthemThank you, Letsgetthem. See my response above if you wish. Will now read the rest of this thread and be on my way to find out more.
- Roe replies to Shill BusterIn addition, they will most likely pass the numbers that are live to other scammers so the vicious cycle continues.
I unplugged my answering machine, (most friends, family and trusted businesses use my cell), installed a call blocker device on my phone and do not answer any calls when I do not recognize the numbers. - LetsgetthemI do have to say...after all my rants on the phone with Larry Penman, the owner of LIR, it have not had a robocall that I can trace back to them. Sometimes it takes some patience and determination and of course luck, but one can eventually find these scum out and out them on here. I have had the same luck with the 'hello seniors..' robo calls also, and posting their phone numbers here on this site.

I agree with you. I tried this before but the timing was not right then. Now is the time to do it. I know you have cleaned out the scammers from your phone. Your destiny is on an upswing. I want to share it with you...because I too have finally applied call blocking apps on my cell phone. Abracadebra!!!! Boom Shakalaka!!!! Scammers gone!!!! :-) Yayayayayay :-)
