Fake payday loan collection scams - Please list new numbers here.

I have been receiving calls from a blocked number. when I checked my messages, there was an 866-981-6848 number left. A " Joseph Marcel" answered saying that we had not paid a payday advance loan back. I questioned him as to the name, and address of the company he represents. All he would give me was STP & associates in Texas. It has been 12 days since he make contact, and nothing in th mail. He has threatened my wife with being served at work. No matter how much I seem to tell him not to call he still does. I'm going to have to change my number. Any advice?

Caller asked for a long-gone former employee who has been targeted by several payday loan scams. Informed caller said person does not work here. Another post about a call from this number indicated scam activity.

I have no clue who this idiot is , but this indian is messing with the wrong Italian American.when I called back the number, the voice mail is full and can not get a human to speak to. I will have him tracked down by the Seattle Washington police.the number being used is 206-629-9394

The numbers are scattered throughout this thread - all 300+ pages, 4000+ posts.  I don't think anyone has compiled them into one list.

Anyone been getting weird calls today from weird numbers some with area code 500. Got three calls in 17 minutes. Please let me know.  Unusual for Sunday.

Yeah unfortuanly the police can only write up a report along with the state attorney generals office too.  The FBI will tell you to ignore them because their is nothing they can do.  This is do to the fact that it is all from foriegn countries.  This was even after I told the FBI that they threatened my child whom they heard in the background.  They said change your number or block them.  I learned a lot tho about the laws because the FBI told me to tell them to go a head and take me to court.  It is all civil matters on loans unless they can truely prove other wise.

I wrote back asking who they wrere got a Gilbert Stone attaching a document that looked weird had a big eagle in background. The loan was for 300, but it would cost almost a 1000 now with all costs of late fees and such.  Payment plan was 4 payments every 2 weeks at over 250 for each.  I kept all the emails going to have a record especially when I tell them I sent it on to the FBI and a lawyer.  Thanks

i got a phone call from 1-866-774-9866 this afternoon...man said he was lou verioy from a locating service and that my number was listed for my daughter who owed a payday loan from 0706909.  said that he was going to serve her papers if not paid.  said that the number he had called for her was not good.  i called her and asked her about this.  she said that they left her a message on her phone to.   anyway she calls them back and she fell for it and gave them her bank information.  i kept on thing about this at 1am in the morning cause i thought something is wrong with this and i found all this information about these scams.  i called my daughter and told her to call her bank first thing and stop pmt of this and i hope its not to late. i am going to call the police first thing in the morning as well and report this as well as to the FBI

Hi so this is happening to me.  What ended up happening, did they every go away?
I don't have time or energy to file reports with them.  What do you suggest?

I just got a call from a company who says that thy are with the cyber crime unit and that I have a warrant for my arrest for fraud from a pay day loan from Quick Cash net when they first started to call they said it they were Cash Advance.  Their number is 661-752-5051. Their needs to be a law in place to stop these people

I got a call this morning (8.25.11) from this number stating he had two "judgments" against me for a payday loan that I supposedly took out on 12/13/2010 through a company call The National Assistance Fund. I realized this was a scam, but what was scary is how much personal information they have on me. The man's name was Kenneth Richardson and that he is a Due Processor with this "law firm". I was driving when he called me so when I got somewhere I could write I called him back. This time he stated that the pay day loan was taken out on 12/4/10. I asked him where he was calling from and he said Georgetown, PA. However if you Google the phone # it clearly shows that is an area code from Georgetown, DE. He's not very good at this! He keeps getting his info wrong. He stated that the amount of $340 was deposited into an account at Educational Credit Union. I don't even bank there. This is clearly a scam. He kept saying that he was going to have me arrested and I said, bring it baby!

why do they call friends and family? i have no idea how they got their information but this is wrong and harassment! my family now thinks i owe people money and they are trying to sue me! this is ridiculous. i do not owe a payday loan to anyone and no one is trying to sue me, i have contacted a lawyer regarding this situation.

I was really scared too, terrified,  til I found this site and some others like it. I urge everyone who receives these calls to post on every site they can so that the word gets out. Some people have said that they have been threatened with physical harm. Scary.
