WHO are they?

I got a call from this number from someone asking for my mother, who had passed away over a year ago, and they said they were the Security Department of the Chase Bank. Yeah, right.

This actually is the Security dept of Chase bank, my buddy works there. They investigate fraud on your credit card. Your Sears card is run by chase bank. They're calling you because there's potential fraud on your account.

other than the sears card they do the sears mastercard, and visa mariott.

Yes, a security issue with my Marriot Visa by Chase Bank.  Appreciated the call and was just to verify a recent purchase I did online.  It brought up a fraud warning.

No message. 613 is area around Ottawa Canada and south-eastern part of Province of Ontario Canada, close to border of Province of Québec Canada.

They are not just for fraudulent activity on said cards. This number is also the number that shows when they are making collection calls. Just so you are all aware.

just recieved a call from here, claiming to be chase, so I called chase via their website, they confirmed it was the security department. there had been some suspicious (my own fault) activity on my card, and they wanted to ensure it was in my possession.

Left a message on my machine that it is  and ask me to call back at 1-800-565-3460.  I called back and was put on hold for about 5 minutes, patiently waiting because I want to find who that was and I was glad I called back.  Because I recently made 2 transaction at gas station in the same day, they suspect that my card was stolen.  It it Chase Bank Security Dept.

Me too, but I'm leaving in Quebec City. Got a call last Saturday 11/13/2010 at 17H00. Sears card used at Petro in Brampton, Ont.

Apparently, since Sears has changed their credit company, many people are on trouble because the old credit company didn't destroy properly the list of names and credit cards numbers...

this number was left on my voicemail probably about the non existence of my My Advantage Sears membership card (however that's a guess since they did not leave much of an understandable message in English) that did not come with the package of coupons but that you must show the cashier when you use said coupons.  When I called back, they said they had no record of someone calling my voicemail today...still no membership card, waiting about 45 days now.  I think the membership will run out before the time it takes them to get the membership card to me.

Same boat. The number is JP Morgan Chase, and their automated system has NO options for people without a card. "Call the number on your credit card or bill" it says, when I'm calling to say I havent received mine yet... Very frustrating.

Upon arriving home from work this evening, there was a a message from this number asking our daughter to call 1-800-565-3460 and stating that they were from the Fraud and Security Department of Chase Bank.  No name was left so we were a bit skeptical as to whether it was legitimate.  I checked the number online and saw the previous posts.

I called our daughter and she called the number and it is legitimate.  She had purchased a BBQ on her SEARS MasterCard and it was an unusual purchase.  All is good and without worry.

Happy to see that there is this type of service available to everyone and so efficient.
