Someone keep calling me from this number, but fails to leave a message. I attempted to redial this number, but a male voice recording says, "You've reached a non-working number at American Express, Good-Bye" and then it disconnects. I must say, I have a BLACKCARD holder with American Express and I have not applied for a new account, as the previous posters suggested.

    I hope, this helps someone,

this is bs! i got a call from this number asking me for last 4 of social and dob. i gave it to them, then they asked for address. after 3 min on hold, they came back saying they couldn't verify my identity and they will send a letter in the mail asking for this information. i then came accross this website during the phone call and started asking them questions like what is this for? is this for the amex business card? they answered yes and I started yelling at them at to why they cannot verify my identity after i gave them all the info they asked for. they put me on hold again and said they will send a letter in the mail. i asked what address and they verifyed the right address i put on the application, not the one i gave them earlier. so, it prob is legit, just outsources to bumblefcuk india with people who can not talk right.

    legit
This is definitely legitimately an amex number.  I called amex about a corporate card, and the same guy I talked to called me back from this number.  It's possible of course that scammers are faking this caller id, but the number itself is amex.

This is not a scam! This is American Express. I received a message from American Express to call 888-854-4549. I did and found out it was because we had changed our Merchant Services bank info. They asked to verify several things, including bank account number, Merchant ID#, and specific settlements that appeared on our monthly statement. After they were done with the verification process, they verified on their end the date we had last spoken with them and the reason why. They then informed us that the reason for their call was they needed 1 additional piece of info in writing from our bank to complete our request.

I got a voicemail message which I thought was valid as we had just requested a change to our account.  I called the number they left in the message.....it's a porn site.  Unfortunately I did this from my cell phone which has now received 2 text messages trying to get me to respond as well. Immediately called my cell phone carrier to block the numbers I had but the 2nd text was from a different number.

I work for American Express, and we have to confirm a home address before we can send out a card. Often we will use a bank to confirm a home address. The phone number to BofA is no longer 800 432 1000, they changed their system and it's a different number. If someone calls you asking to verify your home address, and you've recently applied for a card, chances are it's legit.

I got call from this number and they asked my bank account for validation, I replied as I got call from AMEX yesterday and get my merchant account already. Why do you need this info. The woman with Indian accent told me they need to verify it. I don't believe it. SO I said to mail me official letter, She told me email will be sent. I came to me but seems not right. I think It is BS. I wonder how did they get my phone and email address? someone from AMEX is selling our info.

This 6027666484 is BS and SCAM, Better report to AMEX. I updated my information at AMEX merchant account and I got reply confirmation from real AMEX before this Indian woman called me. AMEX uses the 1 800 528 5200 customer service number. Not this BS number from Arozina. So if you got call from local number with any area code, do not answer what they ask. Phone number must be official customer number according to AMEX  website. Other than that ALL SCAM. I am sure someone is selling from AMEX.

I had a call today from from a lady with a strong accent claiming to be from Amex from 602-766-6484. She said we see you have recently updated your bank account and we want to verfiy we are depositing to the correct account. I said what accounts do you have on file and I will tell you which one is correct. She said I can not give you this information. I said I can not give you any information either since I do not trust you. She knew my name and when I updated the business account. I said ok then goodbye. I called Amex immediately to see if it was fraud. The agent checked in his system and then checked with the bank department. The number is out of Phoenix, Arizona but is NOT affliated with Amex. This number is SPAM!!!

Ah, ah, ah...read the posts.  If someone is spoofing the number and there is even one complaint about the number, I give NOTHING out.  Am just considering getting rid of the house phone; nothing but solicitors and scammers.

I got a call from the 602 number; when I don't know a number, I let it go to voice mail, but no message was left. Interestingly, I had been online with AMEX today, so it could be an AMEX number, although no one answered when I called back within a couple of minutes of their call.

602-766-6484...two calls in a row on cell phone.  When I called back there was NO answer.  The call did not go to any voice mail or any kind of customer service.  I did not apply for a new amex card or any new credit card.  Also, credit card companies are really not suppose to call anyone on their cell phones unless you ask them to.  I have no idea where this number is from or why they called me and will not answer it in the future but will report it now.

This number is from KYC a company that works for AMEX. BUT THEY SHOULD BE FIRED!  I am a merchant who set up an account with AMEX to accept their cards. I got a call from this 602-766-6484 from a women with a very heavy accent who talked very fast and would interrupt and never give any verification as to who she was and WHY I should have to fax my company check to them. She spoke very fast and was very hard to understand half of what she said. She would interrupt me every time I tried to get her to verify who she was. After several times of trying to interrupt her constant stream of vocal noise I got her to tell me WHY. She said they couldn't read the company name & they needed it to conform to a home land security law. BUT she had previously told me she did not have the copy of the faxed check. Now she tells me she does.*** I called AMEX and it was legitimate. But the number is in India. So...If you feel comfortable giving people in India your personal info who are not even polite enough to positively identify themselves.... Also, WHY IN THE WORLD DO I HAVE TO FAX SENSITIVE INFORMATION TO INDIA TO CONFORM TO HOMELAND SECURITY LAWS!? But I called AMEX and it is all legit. So go figure.
