Reporting charges on a VISA

as above: suposedly reporting fraudulent charges on a VISA.  Bank has no record of any holds.  I just ordered DVDs from a dot tv website, outside the US, and I suspect them.   But they already have our credit card info, so maybe just a coincidence.

Our bank says the number REALLY IS the VISA fraud prevention number, and the bank thinks they may be worried about that "dot tv" DVD charge.

Dont call it! It is a scam..I was told my visa card was being used.Called my Bank instead of that number and they had no record of calling me..Dont call!!

this a number just called me anonymously after 730 p.m. asking for my zip code to confirm any fraudulent charges. never give out your zip code because if they have your credit card number that's what they use at to rent movies to get gas and things like that.. I've heard of people making a card so that's all they need is the information

i got two calls from this number today.  automated; left a message first time, said they were Visa Fraud and then the call ended.  second time, no message.  not returning the call.

They've called me 5 times today. I wish it would stop.. Same ad what other people said visa protection fraud crap. I don't believe it or answer the phone. They left a message only once that's how I know what it is

I called Visa on the back of my card AND my bank.  BOTH indicate, they have NOT called me!  Visa said this is a scam & to report it to the Police for further action.  DON'T give them ANY information!!!

These people keep calling me and saying they are fraud prevention from my bank, they even used my bank name.  I have two accounts and they had both accounts flagged (supposedly),  I contacted the bank and they said there is nothing on my bank.  I called these people back and amazingly I got the same person.  I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on hold and the music was so loud I think it blew a hole in my eardrum.  I got my cell phone and recorded how loud it was.  Then they hung up on me!!!  I called back!!!  Another miracle got the same guy.  Told him music was so loud when he put me on hold and I still have not spoke to a manager, he wanted to put me on hold and I said NO!!!  He said he had to put me on hold and I yelled NNNNOOOO!!   Then a manager came on the phone and I kept asking who they were and what they were doing?????  He wouldn't tell me, then all of a sudden he said he was Dawson (right), and he was with Visa Fraud Prevention for my bank name!!  I said No you are not!!  Guess what he did then????  He hung up!  I called back and they just put me on hold with the LOUD music and then they hung up on me before I spoke to anyone.  Do not give these people any information.  Unfortunately I gave them some before I realized it might be scammers!!!  ^&&*&*_)())_)&&*())__^**))!!!!!!

Second call today around 7:00 P.M..  Called earlier today shortly after I ordered software from Nuance.  Claim to be fraud investigation for my bank which they named.  

This number is for Visa Fraud Protection Services.  They left an automated message.  When I returned the call, I was required to verify my identity and charges to my account.  I immediately contacted my bank afterwards and they too verified that unauthorized charges had been made to my account.  This phone number is legitimate!

Visa Fraud Prevention trying to confirm charges recently made over the weekend. This is a legitimate number for VISA.

funny i called my bank.. they transferred me to the fraud prevention  dept and it was their number trying to get a hold of me..  only happens when i travel and do not let them know i am doing so.

Got calls from this number but thing is I haven't the referenced account in months nor does it have any available funds. .. I think its a fraud too

Checked with my bank. It is a valid Visa Fraud Prevention Services Number.

4/18/2015: Called the number on the back of our card and they verified that this is a real VISA Fraud check. Okay to return call. If you are uncertain, call the number on your own card and ask.

Citizen is correct, I called my bank and ran my card and said everything is ok. they also said that it is the VISA fraud check trying to confirm my earlier purchases from this morning online.. its ok to answer

Part of a fraud campaign targeting numerous financial institutions.  Note the pattern of shill postings all claiming the number is real - an obvious giveaway.

I received a call from this number wanting to verify that I made a internet purchase from a company, overseas, I said yes but would not give them any more info until I verified them.
I called my credit union to verify.
My Credit union says the number 866-416-5686 "REALLY IS" the VISA fraud prevention number. This number is Legit!
