I work for a CS&S call center for BofA, just got the call but have NEVER heard of this before. Call was at 5am PDT which violates the calling laws based on my account info. Will have to check phone repository to see if this is a direct dial number somewhere ... I don't trust it, and only have a deposit account with NO E-alerts on my account.

I got this call this evening 8pm. I thought it asked for my PIN number. It was left on my answering machine. I'm an associate too. Q&P - never heard of ENACT either.  Interesting.  I thought it was phishing .. I sent an email to the bank about it to investigate.

I am an employee as well and it is a test of the Emergency Notification System of Bank of America . In case of a natural disaster or other event, you would be notified with any information regarding where to report to work etc. Your team leader should have notified you of this test that was to take place today

I am fine with a test call, but this system called and left over 36 voice mails while I was out mowing the lawn. Even after I answered and went through the prompts it has continued to call my phone another half dozen times. Sweet system!  To the previous post,  who is playing defense for the automated system, the system sucks. This evidenced by others who received calls o'dark early and my 40 plus calls. I say geeze back to you.

Got a call on my cell from 877-693-6228 around 12:00 Noon Eastern time that said it was a Bank of America emergency for "my name" and stated that I may need to enter my person number to retrieve my message.  I then got a call from the same number at my home number that I let roll to voice mail.  It had the same message.   I called the GCIB help desk at Bank of America and they said it was a legitimate number testing the Bank of America Emergency Notification System (MyENACT).  Employees should have been notified that this was coming otherwise it appears to be phishing or a breach of a Bank of America database.

It is a call from Bank of America alerting you of a natural disaster or an emergency and what is happening around your work area. If you work for bank of america you should have a person number. It could be a test depending on when your manager decides to test it to make sure that you get it. For those who get it early in the morning I do not know what to say. Managers have the ability to pick a time of when you receive the phone calls. If you missed it just call back and answer the question. It could be a test or maybe something has happened around your work area.

some kind of an emergency in my area and I should call to hear my msg - this is a new phone # for me and it's using up A LOT OF MINUTES as it's a machine and can't hear my outgoing msg which clearly states that they have an incorrect # unless they are really looking for me and to call me at home - this is a tracphone that's only purpose is for me to have in case of an emergnecy and these people are using up my min's - does anyone have a way to get threw to them when you don't have a "pin number"  I'm obviously not the person they are trying to reach.
    my number

Received a call from this number.  Called BofA and asked about it.  They stated it isn't a BofA number.  Didn't call it.  Beware of 877-693-6228.

It is a curtesy call for weather conditions, late opening or closings.  Regardless of time, they are helping you out by telling you these things.  Say thank you for saving me from these bad conditions instead of worrying about what law they are breaking!
