I  have received numerous calls from 1-970-002 (no final digit appears) in th eoast two days. The last time I answered. It rang back and a person who sounded vey young and flippant asked for me by name. Then there was a series of beeps and a disconnect.
I have a bad feeling about this.....

I just received 3 calls from this number in a row. A man with a very strong accent answered the phone after 2 mins of silence. I couldn't understand what he was saying so I politely told him he had the wrong number. He then said, "why would you say that sweetheart?" I freaked out a little before responding with "because I don't know you." I then quickly hung up. Creepy.

You're really getting this worked up about a telemarketer? Life goes on! They're doing their job, making that money. I would take a job as an annoying telemarketer if it meant making some money. But maybe that's just the college student in me talking. You should get out more, and stop waiting around for telemarketers to give you a call.
    -Sincerely, F*** Off.

I rec'd a voice mail message from a woman stating she was from Card Services. The message stated that a payment I had processed the nite before did not go through due to missing information. The message also gave me another 800 number to call back.

I had, in fact, made a payment to my Bank of America credit card last nite. Instead of calling the 800 number provided in the message, I called the 800 number shown on the back of my credit card.

As it turns out, my payment did NOT go through!! I provided the corrected info and all was well.

I read a number of the posts concerning this number and, at least in this case, it was a legitimate call.

the number 000-000-0000 is a mask for the call centers that have your number because of legal records, collections, warrants, sales, and then some more. Cell phone companies have to sell out for the fact that most people do not have a home phone because most people pay a lot for cell phones so they can take them with them and nobody has a home phone that you will answer. Recently the privacy act for cell phones was passed and if you didn't know, your cell phone number was put into a book, that you will get call for everything!!!!!!!!!!

I receive calls from this number all the time.  Usually when I pick up there is no one there, this time it was someone that on the call ID it showed up as v05182317290005.  I did ask to remove from the calling list but they don't seem to take no for an answer.    Does anyone know what the ID number above is?
