I just assigned it to a contact with no ringtone, so when they call, I never know unless I happen to be looking at the phone at that time they call.  I received some calls from that number last year for about two weeks, and it just started up again today.

I receive this number on my home phone and cell phone. When I don't pick up the house phone they call my cell phone a few seconds later. They can keep calling because I'm not picking up.

Well, I'm relieved to see this thing is old hat, and that they tapped me a little late in the game. My cell phone plan has expired, but somehow, this all-zero number managed to get through. It freaked me out at first, so I went to ye grande ol' interwebz in search of answers, and stumbled upon this message board. I must say, I certainly got a good chuckle out of reading these posts. Unlike some of you, I'm fairly certain that it's not the feds, nor government of any sort. If they wanted to speak with me, I would most certainly be easy enough for them to find. No, their time is better spent in affairs such as alien abduction, the current state of the drachma, and all the mud-slinging on facespace. ;) So I'm  now sure it's a scam or telemarketer. No less irksome, mind you, but they're just wasting their own time. I never answer a number I don't recognize. However, I may have to answer once, just for chuckles, and ask what color underwear they're wearing. >:) So, thank you all for this lively and lengthy discussion. It gave me something to do for an hour or so this evening.

We set up an emergency hot line phone for our elderly parents.  I wish the person, or company that keeps calling this number in the middle of the night would stop it.

How does one stop calls from 000 000 000?

I just got a call from this number.  I am on the do not call list? I reported it.

Today, I received a call from 000-000-0000 on my cell phone. They left a voicemail to remind me about my hair appointment with DOSHA Salon, for tomorrow. Well, I do have a hair appointment tomorrow. I believe this number is a form of a phone operating system because I received calls in the past. Also might explain the variety of experiences given on this site. Just a theory :)

What the hell does every criminal telemarketer and creep have my number???

I received two calls from this number yesterday. The only difference was that there was a "1" in front of all the zeroes. My caller ID showed: 1-000-000-0000/Name Unavailable. The first call was from some foreign guy---Indian or Pakistani??--asking for my husband. When I told the caller that my husband was unavailable and asked if there was a message, the caller abruptly hung up. That pisses me off when someone calls, doesn't say who they are or what they want, then hangs up on you after you have been polite. So this same idiot calls a second time about an hour later---and I was ready for him. I immediately told him, "NEVER call this number again." and he started to protest...."But I need to..." and I cut him off by repeating my first statement and hung up on him. Haven't heard back since.

I have received 2 to 3 calls everyday for the past 9 days..from 000-000-0000.the few times I did answer they didn't say anything and they hung up. I won't be answeing anymore of these calls...I have also been getting the unavailable calls

LOL!!! People who are clueless regarding punctuation, grammar, and spelling, can be almost as irritating as those callers whose harassment brought me here!

I just received one of these a minute ago.....my GF uses BEll for her mobile - I dont use cells.

Keeps calling every 20minutes or so

Michigan Republican Party. I simply asked the nice young lady to take my name off her calling list and she said that she certainly would do that and told me to have a nice day.

Hey, it's 2012. This year is going to be brutal for political calls.

For the past week, we've been getting unwanted calls from the number 000-000-0000. We are on the Government's no call list. What's going on.
