i know u can call the number and say "are prank calling my son/dauter" then say im a state police if u call again ill  put u in custity i know u lol sierous time

When in doubt - don't answer.
I have no friends, family, doctors, business associates with the number 000-000-0000
I don't answer.
It's probably from one of those countries where emails from some widow asking for you help in probating her husbands will or taking out $4 million dollars for her at your financial institution.

Just got a call from it.  Guy asked for me and said he was calling from Gem Fight Sports or some such nonsense.  I just said I had to go and hung up.

its the international signal for fax..or plug a fax machine into your line
and press answer if you get a spurious call...
I ordered call blocking from ATT..cut the unwanted calls down by 90%
but these scammers use a spoofed number and name, they get past the caller ID Blocking

I have had NINE calls since 4:00 tonight from 000-000-0000.  We called the cops because I have an actual JOB I have to go to at five AM tomorrow.  We called the
Cops (who actually wanted to and a deputy out....really ????) but we declined.  If they keep it up, first thing in the AM, we're filing.a formal criminal complaint.  We'll have the worthless [***] up on harrassemnent charges.  Watch and see!!!

I just got a call from the 0000000000 number - it was the Romney Campaign asking for a donation...

000-000-0000 traced to 706-708-6104  insurance rip off

I am getting calls from 000. That's it. That's all that shows up on my caller ID. They claim to be trying to collect a debt. They call around 8:30am. Tried to block this number with my call blocking app. Did not work. Don't know if this is something new, but if anyone knows about this please leave me a note on my facebook page.I am in San Antonio, Texas.

Follow up on above post. Researching the numberr 000 turned this up:Triple Zero (000) is the primary national emergency number in Australia.[1] The Emergency Call Service is operated by Telstra. Found this on Wikpedia. Found Telstra's website, did a live chat with them and let them know about this. Hope that these bill collectors using 000 will somehow mess up Telstra's service and they complain to the US Govt. about any possible disruptions in their service. Would be nice if the US Govt. got involved in this 000 practice.

I rec'd a call from this #...no message left.  I blocked it.

I also get calls from Unknown and it only shows 0.

I let the call run without saying hello.....until it shuts itself off.....they have to pay for the call each time.   Calls are getting less and less.  Lots of luck

It is not just the culinary arrogant [***] that call, now every collection agency, telemarketer and whoever else wants to has jumped on the bad waggon.  I just pick up the phone without saying "Hello" and let the call run to the end and automatically shut off.  The caller pays for the call.  My revenge.  I do this with any area code number I do not know and numbers in my area that I do not know.  If I'm not here the call is picked up with my answering machine and promptly deleted when I see it.  Hope this helps someone.  The no call list is a joke and a waste of time.
