Seriously! This many posts about this number? It's all zeroes; with caller ID, it also says "UNKNOWN." Why would anyone answer a call with all zeroes, or "UNKNOWN" anyway. Of course, it's a scam, telemarketer, bogus, whatever.
I NEVER answer calls from numbers that are not programmed into my phone (which brings up the person's name). Everyone I know, knows they have to leave a voice message if they are calling from a different number before I will call them back or answer the "odd" number.
I just received a call from this number, and, of course, did not answer it. Whoever it was did not leave a message. Duh.
If everyone would quit answering numbers they didn' t recognize, the scammers and telemarketers would be out of business. If it's important  enough for someone to call me, a real person will leave a message and/or call back.

My very elderly parent is getting these calls at all times of day! It is a scam and tom-foolery. Not to mention annoying to an elderly person who doesn't need to irritation-but scammers do not care. Report this number and hope the Feds actually do something about it. (Ha Ha Ha!)

My Verizon October 2012 wireless bill had $48 of outgoing calls to a 000-000-0000 Number which stated to a Operator.  I called Verizon and they had no idea  They readily credited my account and stated they are receiving numerous calls from others with the same problem and are investigating.  You may want to review your bill and call them if the same problem comes up.

I never pick up calls I do not recognize.  These are scammers.  I hook up my line to fax machine.  I agree that we should not pick up any numbers we do not recognize and get these scammers out of business.  Obviously the government does not protect us against these scammers and harrasement.  The government lets the phone companies make money buy giving the scammers service, therefore, then scamming us.

Beware of phone companys that charge landline calls! A phone company will call with this number to charge an acount. If you have a new phone company and you just started seeing this or your phone bill is late, They do scam in steath ways. Answer or no answer, you will be chared. Several of my friend have experienced this scam. It's used for many different purposes. But if you are behind on a payment or have a new phone company, this is a major scam to consider.

I keep getting these calls but do not answer. I have tried blocking but it is, of course, an invalid number and the only number that shows on my phone. For those who think some of us don't have enough sense to block a number, zeros make it impossible. Therefore, there is no way to stop them.

Why NOT call you?  Looking after the bill?  How about providing telephone service, customer service, monitoring FCC violations and more?
Sounds like YOU need a new job.

You keep on insulting everyone with your Oh my God comments but you too are following the conversation! If we're so stupid to be continuing on with the discussion, why are you here?  Move on if you don't have anything to add.  There may be some information that people would like to share with others that might be useful.  You said your peace, now beat it!

I have received numerous calls from this number.

Luckily I have been able to block it and it will only ring once but still it is very annoying.

I just wish they would take a long walk off a shore pier and never return.  They are nothing but a pain the ass.

Just received my ump-teenth call from 1-000-000-0000 from Caller, "Name not found" or "Toll Free Call".  This time, I picked it up.  I said hello and then a man started to sing, "on a dark desert highway", which is obviously  the beginning lyrics to the Eagles Hotel California.  He might have sang the entire song - but I hung up.  WTF?

5:40a.m. MST is NOT ok to be getting calls from anyone (unless its a dire emergency - which is what I assumed this morning when my phone rang at that time).  The number showed as 000-000-0000 they hung up as soon as I said hello twice?!?!?!
