- Will| 2 repliesA caller with a Caller ID of 000-000-0000 is intentionally blocking their number so you can't see it so you cannot verify who they are. I asked Verizon and they told me they do not support a caller id of 000-000-0000. Verizon said it is someone scamming the Caller ID.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY!
If they are soliciting for money, they are crooks hang up on them.
If they ask you to take a survey, they are harvesting information for identity theft. Hang up on them. - KaylaI got 20 calls in one night from this number and the next day I received 5 calls from this number again. It was just music like Justin Bieber, Journey, a bunch of random artists, and a type to text either on computer, phone, ipod, ipad, etc saying a bunch of random numbers and letters. It made my furious because whenwever I tried to call this number back it said it was unavailable but yet I was still receiving calls from it. I think it may have been this girl Kaytlyn a family friend that pretty much stalks me and did this a few times off her cell phone number she called me 18 times in one night all within like an hour. So with that being said I think this maybe be a Skype, Calling app, etc that makes the person untraceable.

- May I Can Help replies to WillI just called Sprint and they have reportedly gone into my account in their computer and initiated a block for voice calls. I tried to do it myself but was unsuccessful as the website responded to my request indicating that no changes had been recorded to my account.
In addition I have requested a call back from Sprint in 3 days to confirm that what they did is working; I certainly hope so; in the meantime I NEVER answer the call which is my own means of hoping after a certain number of attempts that the idiot sender's computer will kick out my number.
Hope this helps everyone; call your provider; you pay them plenty. - Larry McDanielI am now getting these calls. I haven't answered them because I know they are scams. I am getting calls from three different numbers a day. They all call at least twice a day.
- AlexHeard a lot of argument here as to a string of zeros being a valid number or not. Makes no difference. If your phone company gives you a caller reject service (usually option *60) you can reject any number with it. Just wait until you get one of the zero-zip calls use the service to reject the last incoming call. It works. I got 2 of these calls. Then rejected one of them. None from (000) 000-0000 since :-)
- Caller: UNKOWN CALLER
- QOf all the junk calls I get, this is one of my favorites. They've called me a few times now, but never leave a message and it's impossible to call them back because you get the standard "this number cannot be completed as dialed" line. Obviously fake.
- cindyreceiving calls from 1-000-000-0000, every 1hr or so for 2 days, when you pick up they don't answer, so know I won't answer
- Sheri Robichaud-Stewart replies to sarfeguyI do not trust that u r not a scam as I've learned in life ..nothing in life is free there r always some kind of hidden cost down the line. Please do not send me any of your offers in free trip to anywhere.. Please take my name & number off your calling list as I will no longer answer your calls..
- RedkenThank you internet and bloggers. I just googled the telephone number 000-000-0000 only to confirm my suspicions. I answered the phone to have someone tell me that they were with some behavioral clinic of some sort and they were taking a survey about local parks or some crap...They asked to speak with the head man or head woman of the household (I am a single woman) and I stated that they were speaking with her. They then asked: "Is the head man not at home or is there not one?" ....WTheck kind of b.s. question is that???? Anyway, very suspicious questionsing and I hung up! I thought I would document my call being as how I found the messages that I read on this site VERY informative. You can't trust anyone these days !!!!

- spyvspyThey are spoofing, who cares where or who they are. If you want to get them to stop. Use call forwarding to the to the head of the FCC...let them get the call. I set my call forward to 3 rings, if it is not someone I know then it is forwarded to the head of the FCC. If everyone did this I bet there would be some action taken. Head of FCC Juilius Genachowski 202-418-1000.

- kaylinthis caller began calling my home phone today and every 15 minutes calls. i will not answer a number like that....its obviously a scam. i have filed complaints.
- Cookie replies to donnamomI received the same call yesterday (7/5). They asked me if I ever committed fraud, etc. They were going to pick me up. But if I wanted to settle my account today they would transfer me to their supervisor. Yeah right!
- Josh| 3 repliesI received a call from a 000-000-0000 number today. The caller identified himself as Reid and said that he needed to verify the shipping information on an online order from Best Buy that I had recently made. I was skeptical of the phone number, but I had recently placed an order online and my shipping location was different than my billing address on my credit card, so I thought it might actually be legitimate. The caller left a callback number of (866)597-8428, but I decided to call Bestbuy's published customer service number to verify my order.
They told me that the call was a legitimate call from their credit department. They frequently call customers in regard to credit card purchases when the shipping and billing addresses are the same. The customer service rep marked my purchase as valid so I didn't have to call the credit department back.
That was my first experience with a 000-000-0000 phone number, but I feel assured after talking to a customer service rep that everything was on the up and up. I think if you are ever in doubt it is probably prudent to call the parent company using their own published customer support number. These days you can never be to safe. I would probably answer one of these calls in the future, but I probably wouldn't give them any more information than they already have.- Caller: Best Buy
- Knows the Score replies to Josh| 2 repliesNice try moron.
Be very careful about seeing testimonials of this sort. The Internet thieves are now posting crap like this to muddy the waters. Don't believe them.
Don't answer these calls 000-000-0000 or any variation of them. There is no 000 exchange
They are thieves using spoofing software to get your personal information. - pocketsThis was scary. The caller knew my name.. At least she knew my first name. Said, Hello? hello? May I speak to [my name here] I just hope the caller knows only my first name.
- russell jacobsonI receive frequent calls from000-000-0000 and can't block it because it is "not a valid number"
- NOT a "tin foil hat" wearerok... first off... i am shocked an appauled at all the people who insist that when they get a phone call from all zero's that it's:
-a wire tap by the feds
-a stalker
-someone dangerous enough to be thankful for "gated communities"
scammers use spoofing software to cater to their needs... they could use '911' if they so desired. I can guarantee you that these people are less of a threat than the quiet back door hackers who have been hacking into banks and credit card companies lately, so relax!
second - either do not answer or hang on them... since they are scammers, they can change their "numbers" and their fake company names as often as they see fit... they DO NOT CARE that you are on the "national do not call registry" because they are not a government registered entity and therefore if not caught they will not be fined.- Caller: who cares
- however... replies to lojeanI'd love to know how that works for you as most scam artists and telemarketers now use auto-dialers to randomly catch people... they type in an exchange and start spamming number until someone picks up
- D.I.L.L.I.G.A.FI don't know who's calling me from this all zero number because I've never been stupid enough to answer them. I suspect that whoever it is has access to my phone records because I have two cell phones (1personal and 1 issued by my employer). I used to only get these calls on the work phone but ever since calling one of my phones from the other one (because I couldn't find it) I am now blessed with these wonderful calls (note the sarcasm) on both of my phones usually within 15 minutes of each other.
- manontherun replies to brucei was involved in a situation where the were called and i have been getting the "000 000 0000" number every night since. i think its the po po
