This Asian bunch have been calling me over the last 2 or 3 years, Always the same story, very hard to understand Asian accent tells me they are from Microsoft something or other & my computer needs fixing. I've tried confusing them with "which computer...we have 6 PCs both Mac & M'soft?" but that doesn't stop them. I've bluntly told them to F off, said I have the police monitoring their call etc.....pretended to panic that I have a sick PC.... hung up....but they still call back often every few days, sometimes months apart. It's annoying but not worth losing any sleep over!

I get calls everyday at work, on my work number, several times. They are claiming to be an online education centre offering free training and qualifications for my staff.

I have tried to re call the number but end up with an automated recording each time.

I have been receiving calls from this number multiple times a night for 6 months now. Only tonight when I rang Optus to complain the second time (having jumped through all the hoops in December 2014 - tracking call dates and times etc) did they suggest I do *69 to trace the last call. My man is Korean, doesn't speak English at all, and apparently (according to my Korean speaking friend) sounds drunk and is looking for his son!
Surely something can be done about this! Do I have to cancel my home phone??? This is a joke!!!

I received a call from this number from whilst I was at work today from someone in the US named Tyrell Sanders (I am in Australia) saying Congratulations and that I had won a trip for 4 to Florida and a Bahamas cruise. Background of phone call was very noisy like he was in a call centre. Even though I enter competitions to win trips occasionally, I do not remember going into a competition to win a trip to Florida. He laughed when I told him I had not entered this competition.
The guy knew my personal email, both phone numbers and my home address and asked for my marital status. I was suspicious all along and then after a long spiel about what I had won, where my accommodation was, free car rental, theme park tickets and how long I had before I had to use the tickets he asked for my Visa or MasterCard number and expiry so I hung up on him.

I'm in Victoria and have been receiving these sus calls so many times in the last week. Half hourly and even 10pm. I answered one yesterday and was told he was asking about my Microsoft Windows so I promptly hung up. I've even left my phone off the hook for 2 hours so I tie up his line for a while. Just gave me brief satisfaction. So pleased to find I am not the only one being targeted.

Told me I had a number of error messages on my computer and that he was from Telstra.  Indian accent so figured it was offshore. Had to get him to repeat his words. Called to my landline.
Telstra is not my service provider so it was bit of a giveaway so I ended the call.

I cannot guarantee this because I received several calls from others at almost the same time but I think mine came from PayPal. It was an automated message asking me to type in the pin number that Paypal just sent me by email - as I wanted my password reset. As I said, I cannot guarantee it. I am only putting this here in case it is a clue for someone.

I have been receiving calls from this person almost every night for the past few months.
It sounds like an Asian lady, I can barely understand her, it's really fuzzy and hard to hear at all and then she hangs up.
It's normally a no caller ID number, but the number showed up tonight.
I called back and it only rings once and then sounds like a disconnected number.

I have had several calls from this number with a recorded message saying something about the Bingo Hall ag.
several weeks ago I joined the bingo hall for the free games but decided not to deposit real money.
i have now emailed the bingo hall and told them to cancel my details.
I am more than irate that these people think they can harass us.

I manage the phone lines for a cocktail bar and I've been receiving voicemails from this number 0011976000 for months now! I've never called back as the number is obviously not an Australian one so I just ignored it. However he is persistent! They even say my name in the voicemail so it's very misleading. He never says what the call is about, just "Hi Lizzie, it's 2pm, call me back it's very important" or sometimes he mumbles words that I can't make out. I believe they purposely leave a indistinct message so that we can call back, somehow they're making money off of our return calls so make sure you guys don't call back!

it seems to me that one of people in optus' call centre department has given out Optus customers info out or maybe even sold it to another call centre company in order to scam people with the information they had been given. I am with Optus too so I too am getting these calls for years.

Received a call at 4.15 am. Woke the family with a fright at that hour. I did not answer. We have recently changed our phone provider. Seems others get this call when they have done this also. Does anyone know how to stop it. Annoying.
