Beware of the phone number 0011976000. It has been confirmed as a south east asian call centre where the callers on the pretext that your computer is faulty get you to go to their online site to download a patch to fix the issue. Of course you are downloading software which steals pretty much everything on your computer. You can register your phone number with www.donotcall.gov.au

Received a video call from this number 3 times
At 5am! Thinking it was my mother who is currently overseas I answered but blocked the video all I could here was really bad reception and some Indian guy tryibg to speak. so I hung up. tried to call back this 0011976000 number but optus says it can not recognise the number. Had to Google this number to see which area code it may come from around the globe as I got a bit confused! And have came to all these sites about the number being a scam 😠 a way to ruin my Friday morning.

i had a call this morning from an Asian woman -who claimed I had  ordered a weight loss supplement.  This was the day after I foolishly responded to  a survey that appeared when I logged on to google and to get beyond it which was blocking the screen i played along - one of the prizes was this weight loss supplement - however when I saw I had to enter my credit card details naturally I didn't - and realised it was probably a scam  -  yet a day or so after I get calls from this woman who claimed I had  ordered the supplement - I told her I knew this was a scam and I would be contacting the police- she then had the nerve to suggest she would do the same- as to why I have no idea -she was incredibly rude    I am concerned that they gained access to my phone number

It  is now April 2016 and we are still getting this phone number ringing at all hours and when you don't answer the first time, they ring again. We now have a post-it note with this number written on it to remind us not to answer.

I am getting calls from this number on regular basis, if there is no answer, they leave really bizarre messages. I am registered with 'do not call' however it's quite obvious that they do not follow any rules.
