- John AbdulThis number could well be linked to a scam setup or obviously, they are wanting to get money in some way or another. Perhaps even links to the Nigerian Scam. Best to report this number to the scam networks throughout Australia. They could be convincing enough to entice unsuspecting people that 0011976000 is a legitimate company with great rewards etc. Beware of links to any of their websites. Let Brother Yilmaz be the first to trap these con clowns.
- CHANI just got a call form this number the lady told me that I have dangerous files on my computer and that if I don't give a one time payment that my computer would shut down, she would not tell me the company name or any info just wanted the payment, this seamed wrong to me so I told her that I wanted to talk to my brother that is in I.T before I did anything then she got mad at me and hung up. I think it is a scam to get money form people but she knew my name so hmmmm a bit scary. has any-one else had this happen and what are your thoughts
- StevenI have had three calls from this number 0011 976 00 during June 2011. The first two I missed because I was out, but the third I actually answered. It's the so-called Microsoft Windows Support (or similar) people from India claiming that my anti-virus software is not doing its job, etc., etc., and they can help me fix the problem. After getting exactly the same response back, word-for-word, three times in a row when I constantly asked "How do you know?", I told the fellow that I don't use Windows (which is true) and hung up. I reported it to SCAMWatch, but the chap there said they know where these calls are coming from. However, because they are coming from India, it is out of their jurisdiction and they can't do much, if anything, to prevent these calls being made.

- AdamI switched to optus a few months ago from telstra, since i've switched to optus i've gotten scam calls nearly every day. I got this number today when I remembered I could do *69# to get the number. Some guy calls and asks for "Milan", when we say he doesn't live here the guy continues talking as if hes found Milan, metioned something about a sex cream.
The other scam call I get is from Windows or GlobalTech or some other place, telling me i have a virus etc. Now i've been working on computers for quite a while now (Doing Ba.CompSci) so it's funny when they think i'm actually going to do something. If you get these calls, say you use Linux on every PC 'cause you hate Microsoft, then they can't do anything as they need Windows to do the scam :) funny as.
Optus told me not long ago that it's possible to screen international calls if I have Caller ID then to call them... I'm thinking i'll do it cause this pisses us off greatly.- Caller: Unknown
- TimI'm from Melbourne and have received several calls from this number. They said that they are from information management systems and asked to confirm a few things about the household. Stupid me ... told them a few bits of info but in the end, I said I'm not interested and the woman then became extremely rude! They insisted they were not a telemarketer and wanted to show me something about investments or something. I wasted too much time on the line with them. .

My caller ID shows the number as 0011976000 . I believe its a call from overseas using calling card or VOIP. They just looking the white pages and making random call. Please if you get any call of similar nature please don't reveal any personal information or allow the person to control your computer remotely. They may use the information for identity fraud. Beware.... - LauraI don't know why M has to be so rude about it. Everyone is just wandering?
