First of all, why mess with a number that's easy to see it's spoofed? This call is guaranteed to stink.
Try not answering your phone, and allow no way to get voicemail or an answering machine. Be patient, let the phone ring and ring, and after a bit, you'll beat them.

My call blocker blocks all calls from area code 202 for Washington DC.
I have no contacts or business in that area code. Most incoming calls are scams anyhow.
google 'call blocker'. One ring and they are gone.

Just saw that I missed a call from 202-000-1111.  I googled it and saw the responses and it was just like a phone call I recevied three days ago ..... A phone no. came in as Unknown" . I knew it was a scam the minute she said with her accent that my daughter (and she knew her name) was getting $9,000 grant free money from the US Government. She gave me a no. (206-855-3108) to call her supervisor to get the money with a code of KF102 from Western Union. I was near my computer and googled the no. and saw it was the same SCAM.  I would need to pay them $299 processing fee. I immediately informed her I work for law enforcement and will have them arrested and she calmly said I could do whatever I want. The nerve of these callers.

They called me yesterday also saying they were with the government giving out grants but none of them could speak English. I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

I received a call from this number telling me that I have $9000 and grants from the United States Department of Treasury that I can do whatever I want with what I have so cool this other number with the confirmation code and they are going to Western Union me the funds. when I asked her why wouldn't the government send me a letter in the mail they do not contact people over the phone she gave me some lame excuse. When I asked her her name she said her name was Jennifer Johnson from the United States Department of Treasury in Washington DC. however, she had the deepest Indian accent ever!my main concern is the fact that she knew all my personal information name phone number address and email address. I really hope that the US government catches up to these people and deals with them accordingly

I received a phone call around 10am on a saturday. When i picked up the phone. a guy with a middle easter accent said i was entitled to a grant. Not a specific grant like a school grant. He said the government had granted me $8,000 that i could spend as i wished. When i told the guy who was very hard to understand, the offer seems too good to be true, he told me to "go to hell" and hung up. Ridiculous.

Received this call numerous time while I was on a business trip. Finally was able to answer it when I got back. Upon accepting the call, a man - with a thick accent - told me that he was calling from the US Government in Washington DC and that the government owes me money. They want me to verify my personal information, I said no thanks... he just basically ignored me and continue talking. Totally a scam... I hang up on him.

Just received a call from this number. It was a lady with a pretty heavy accent stating she was calling from the US government of grants department. She went on to inform me why I was selected which was basically due to being a good citizen (Never been in debt, never filed for bankruptcy, etc) and therefore the government has decided to grant me $9,000. She asked me how I would like to receive this money and I asked her who authorized this. She stuttered a bit and stated that the government was granting me the money. I told her I understood but who in the government authorized this transaction. She said, "excuse me" and hung up. It's obviously a scam
