Yup story went the same for me. I won $9000. I knew they were scammers cause they had called previously and I checked this site but I really did have some time to waste. Well I figured she had a lot of talking to do and I had time to waste. Perfect recipe to piss her ass off.

I acted all naive and grateful. I listened to her. I really should've asked loads of questions and tell her about my day just to waste her time too.

Long story short. I can get my money only 3 ways.
Bank, credit/debit card or western union.

I asked for option 4. Mail me a check. She said no.

I then asked her if I can donate it and she was like what????. I repeated my request and she said yes.
I asked how will I know if the company received it?

She got angry and told me not to waste her time if I'm not interested then asked "do u know who I am" I said yes u r from the government and I won money. Lol
She hung up on me!!!!! Lol lol

Why are government employees so grumpy all the time lol lol lol she would do fine at my local DMV.

Man called with accent and said he was calling from the U.S. Government to give money. He said I was randomly selected and needed checking account numbers to deposit money.I called him a scam artist and told him the police would be informed. He told me to place him on hold while the police was being notified. I then ask for his name (David) and number. He said who are you to ask me for my number(phone # on cell). Hung up on the scammer. I work for federal govt and they hv all my information.

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.  That is why they have no fear of us calling the LE in.  We have no jurisdiction in those country's.

To report the fraud, go here:
    http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/support/general-support/grant-fraud.html
Their number is listed , along with an email address, at the top of the page.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

I have been receiving calls from someone offering a federal grant.  They continually call from different numbers, including this number, so it has been impossible to block.

I just received a call from 202-000-1111.  It was a Middle Eastern male voice (not a gentleman for sure!), with a very very strong accent.  He spoke so fast, I had to ask a few time who he was, I said politely, "I'm sorry but I don't understand you."   He was calling from some kind of "Bank", and I was actually dealing with our own bank at the time, so I thought it had something to do with that.
Well, he then said something (I thought I was really misunderstanding him this time!) and he said it again......."F#%K YOU!  DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT???"
    Yep.  What an [***]!
Why are they allowed to call OUR HOME on OUR PHONE that WE PAY FOR and CUSS ME OUT?????????????  This is soooooooo wrong!!!!!!!!!!!
    How can we stop them??

Received the call today @ 2:40. The caller had a thick accent and said she was calling from Washington DC.
She said the government wanted to give me $9000. I laughed and asked if she wanted my social security number, or my bank account number....she said "F*ck You" and hung up...lol.

I just received a call from the number 202 000 1111. they clearly identified themselves as a government entity and they were so difflicult to understand.when I asked them to repeat the message and to tell me who they were calling for they usedsome rather graphic sexual and profane language...they had very heavy  accents and sounded like middle easterners.
    • Caller: they identified themselves as being a us government company who gave out grants.
