Everyday around 7 pm I get this call and I don't answer, but it keeps calling

It's a government survey group. They are not subject to the restrictions of the FTC Do Not Call list. Just hang up.

Calls to my cell every day, and multiple calls to the landline every day; if I try to send a text back telling them to desist, it's "an invalid number".

Just simply ask them to take you off their list :)

I noted that I commented in March that they were calling nonstop. Still calling!

I say hello, no one answers for awhile, I wait patiently, finally a woman, a live caller, says she is with National Research and that they have chosen my number at random and must speak with the youngest female resident at least 18 years old. I haven't yet spoken a word after saying hello and maintain my silence, I hear the woman breathing for 30 seconds or so and finally she hangs up.

Since we are not soliciting or fundraising we can call up to 10...but we close 15 minutes prior...read the DNC policy again...people like you (who dont know what they are talking about or dont do the research are what is wrong with this world)

And they're still calling....I get a call from them once or twice a week, despite the fact that they get my "answering machine" voice/message.  No one ever says anything, they just hang up in the middle of my "message".  Think they'd get the idea I don't want to talk to them, but I guess they're not that bright....

Call came in on a Sunday, so far the only one from this line.  My call blocking software and computer usb modem blocked it after one ring.  It maintains a database of malicious or nuisance callers plus I can add any number, area code or even block by name and those calls are eliminated.  This turns my home telephone into a convenience instead of an instrument of aggravation.

Hey, national research, maybe you legally CAN call until 10, but it's obnoxious.. Call in the early evening if you absolutely must. Preferably, don't call at all. I don't maintain a phone line so that whoever feels like it can call me up and bother me whenever it's legal to do so. If I don't have business with you, I don't want to hear from you.  I don't care whether your clients get useful information or not.  That isn't my problem.

Picked up the phone and said "Hello"...They immediately hung up!!!

Have received 3 calls from this #.  Did not answer the first 2,especially when the 2nd call came in at 6:14 PM on Sunday (at meal time and church day).  The 3rd time they called on Wed. at 4:52 PM, I answered, there was a pause then a woman came on and said she was calling from National Research re: a survey, I stopped her before she could continue and told her I did appreciate being called on a Sunday at meal time, that was why I was on the Do Not Call List and that I wanted my number removed from future calls.  It may not work, but at least I vented!!!!!

Wrong! Here are the rules: "Even permissible calls have restrictions on time of day. They can't be made before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. local time at the called party's location."

Received multiple calls from 202-686-9742 with hang ups and no msg. We will block.

National Research LLC makes a call minutes after MSI calls, MSI is notorious and irritating enough, now beginning to think the two companies are working in tandem. A pox on both their houses.

Actually they are marketing, they are fishing for information and other ways to exploit people in order to do future marketing. If they are working under contract for a marketer or other corporation there is both privity and agency, so they stand in the shoes of their client and should be liable for violations of the Do Not Call registry.

Bottom line: Call it what you want, but if they walk like a duck, and quack like a duck, they're f-ing ducks.

Even if the DNC list applied to slimeballs like this (it only applies to telemarketers) they would still violate the rules and call you whenever they feel like it, regardless of the time of day.  Get a good call blocker to protect your peace of mind from low-life pond scum like National Research...and that's giving "pond scum" a bad rap worse than they deserve!!

Called many times with hang ups

Got six calls over the past six days from this annoying number. Caller ID says its a landline of Patricia Whitaker of New Port Richey, Florida, but it's clearly a DC area code. Have them on block list but it's still annoying to look down and see this number stalks me daily.
