Got the same call today on my voicemail. I knew if was a fraud because the IRS would not just leave a message.

They left a recorded message. They wanted a return call back (supposedly from our attorney of record) ASAP. They claim this a a time sensitive matter.  Failure to call them back falls on the recipient .of the call, so good luck. What a bunch of BS.

Same stupid threat from fake IRS...trying to steal money from people....

An Asian male with a heavy accent introduced himself as 'Steve Jackson' a very American name.
S. Jackson said I owed over $7000.00 in back taxes. He said federal agents had been to my house 2x and that I didn't respond to them, that meant I was running away from paying them. If I could produce  $1000.00 he would speak with an agent to stop the proceedings against me which included, taking my driver license away for 3 years, confiscating all funds from checking, savings and credit cards, and pending 2 1/2 years in prison. Then $500.00, final 'request' "Do you have anyone you can borrow the money from?"  When I said no he then said "Alright then you are not complying. Wait 15 minutes, I'm sending the cops to you to arrest you."

It was an automated call. Claimed to be from IRS. Said I need to call back asap in regards to a legal matter against me. Said something in regards to if I do not return the call they wish me luck with the trouble that will unfold upon me.

Just received the same type of call saying same thing

I got a Internal Revenue call from 202 741 4061 saying he was officer Chris Simmons, and also a recording from Kimberly. Adam Jones was also on the call.  This is a huge scam. I sent the information to Internal Revenue Service Scam department and they are checking on this.

These people will answer the line because they will leave a message with the call back number.  So I've been sending them some nice faxes.  Hope it annoys the hell out of them.

I received this call today with the same message as reported by others.  This should be stopped.  I'm older female and if I didn't have the know how to check this on the computer it would be frightening to hear you have a lawsuit against you, etc.

i keep getting calls from number 202-741-4061.......they keep calling and telling me police and irs will be at my door/treasury threats...swearing at me

Got a call from them saying that if i don't return the call they will file a lawsuit, said it was the IRS

l received a telephone call from a man named Steven Clark.  He had a very heavy foriegn accent.  He claimed he had a warrant for my arrest, and wanted me to pay over $8,000.  He wanted the name of my criminal lawyer.

Same as above. Says criminal lawsuit filed against me and good luck if I don't call back!

I got the exact same message, word for word, but mine came from an automated voice recording.  These people need to get a life.  :/

Got the same call from 202-741-4061 the message wished us luck as this unfolds - called back by using *69 - could barely understand the guy - said he was Mark Gibson & kept trying to get me to give him personal info - said he was from the dept. of treasury & told me to get a criminal attorney- reported the scam to Irs.gov and county attorney

I received a call from officer Frank badge 231725 complete jerk!!

I had a voice mail message from 202-741-4061 Claiming to be the IRS calling about a criminal lawsuit against us, demanding an immediate call back.  I got someone claiming to be Chris Evans badge # CE68294 from the US Treasury, giving a case file and telling me that the call was be recorded "so I shouldn't use profanity".  He then demanded the name of our lawyer and when I said that we did not have a lawyer, but that he should send any information to our address for us to consult a lawyer, he threatened me, saying that he would "send over the sherriff to my door new to arrest me for multiple years and I would start crying".  He then hung up.

Not worried about these guys, but am worried about the retirees and or "mentally challenged" that might fall prey to this scam.  Spread the word amongst friends and family!
