Funny thing, I got a call today from this number saying the same thing with the exact same case #.   Scam city and now blocked caller.

Message left on voicemail. Screen says District of Columbia. Pretty threatening statements if we don't call them back. Lawsuit has already been filed against us. Same thing; dire consequences , as the situation unfolds. 2nd call today.

They call and leave a message that there is a lawsuit against you and that you better call them right away.   We didn't fall for that one but it is very annoying getting these calls.  Sad part is they will eventually find an individual to prey on.

Got the same message today, knew it was a scam and called the number back from a cell phone, told them that I would track them down and rip the sand fleas off their tongue.

Received the same call today at 10:20 a.m. Pacific Time with threats as described above.  I do not plan on returning the call and will block the number.

December 16, 2015: I received a (garbled) call from the "Revenue service".  They said I had a criminal lawsuit against me and I or my Attorney of record should call them back immediately as it was a time sensitive matter.  Wished me luck as things unfolded against me if i did not.  I looked up the number and am responding here.

Just got same call on my machine. Stated that I need to find an attorney. No I didn't call back but it's enough to scare a person! Are you positive it's a scam?

Caller (a female, I think) left a message on my answering machine and advised that I (did not mention my name) was the subject of a criminal lawsuit.  This was on 12-16-2015.  I was "instructed" not to ignore the call and that I should call back or contact an atty.  A scam screamed out at me.  Called back for fun today and my call was answered by what sounded like an asian Indian or Pakistani male.  He advised that he represented the Dept of Treasury and that I owed $5210. for past returns.  I laughed and he said he would see me in handcuffs at the "courthouse."  Caller ID reflects that the number (202)741-4061 returns to Bowne Global Solutions.

Same Call.. You will not receive a call from the IRS, a certified letter is the only way they will contact you the first time. There will not be a lawsuit before you have a chance to rectum-fy  your account in case the IRS may have made an error.

I was surprised when I got the same basic message as above.  Being a police officer I knew it was not legit.  I do appreciate getting it confirmed.  Thanks.

IRS phone scam Google IRS phone scams and see all the people that Feel for this fake scam. Please report them 18003664484  and warn others off this scam or not v n call the police fight back vs the scammers or th y will never stop.

I received a call from 202 741 4061 today. I did not call the number back. It certainly did a good job of scaring me. Thanks for these posts to help me determine that the call was not legitimate.

That's the identical message I received at 8:19 am today 1/4/2016.  Had a deputy come out and take a report and listen to the message.  Thank goodness I didn't return the call as I knew I had nothing to worry about legally and it had to be a scam.  I just thought it best to report to sheriff dept to save some gullible person from falling for it.  Hopefully they will report it in the local newspaper to protect the general public.

Received a call from 202-754-8403 this morning on my cell tellig me to call back regarding a criminal lawsuit filed against me.  If I did not call back, they wished me good luck as the situation unfolds. I did not call the number back but Googled it only to find others had received the same call.  This is a scam!

Wow... I got the same call but didn't answer it cause I didn't know who it was.  They left a message saying I was in a criminal lawsuit, #CF79591 and if I nor my lawyer didn't call back, all they could do was pray for what was to come down on me.  I knew it was a scam because a deputy would have served me, not called.  It happened 12/2/2015.  I wish I would have reported it, now, but didn't know how to at the time...

The number has been disconnected...just tried it.

They said i got a grant of 7000.00 is this legit?
