- RFSame automated call - same case number - supposedly a lawsuit was filed against us - same "good luck" at the end - what a waste of time!
- Caller: Bowne Global So
- SAT1942I just listened to a message on my phone from 202-741-4061. It sounded like a female voice. Could not understand all of it, but it did say I should find an attorney. And if I did not return the call this could be very bad for me.
- Caller: Did Not Say
- FW replies to DougI had a voice message on my answer machine this morning (12/3/2015) at 9:55am with a woman's voice. The message is exactly the same as Doug's, with the same case #. The caller ID shows: BOWNE GLOBAL SO and phone # 202-741-4061.
- FW replies to CWG40I understand they can hide their call number. But if they can be reached at 202-741-4061, can phone company track them down? It looks like a US #, and at least find out who registered this #?
- Retired Woman| 1 replyMonotone voiced woman said criminal charges were being filed against me, my case # is EF79591. Part of the recording is garbled. I or my attorney was to call back. Not much later I received another recorded msg from "David Gray" that an enforcement action was taken against me by the US Treasury and I needed to phone 202-754-8350. I don't know if the two calls are related. I wonder if they specifically pick on older people? I am almost 75 and I am just fine mentally. No way would I call them back.
- Caller: District of Columbia
- Flas3610Exact message converted to text by Vonage is:
"79591. The moment you receive this message I need you or your retained attorney of records to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My phone number is 202-741-4061. Do not disregard this message and do return the call. Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye."- Caller: BOWNE GLOBAL SO

- Renee BurghardHad a recorded message that I had to call this number immediately. I had a family member that has had legal problems and thought it was concerning that. At the moment they man answered I knew it wasn't right. He said he was from the Treasury department and something about the IRS. I told him I thought it was a scam and hung up.
- chrisApparently reporting the number means nothing. Have received numerous calls from the same number, reported it too avail. The crooks are apparently smarter than the government.
- BobReceived very mechanical sounding and threatening call
- JeSkA!!| 1 replyThis number just called me today. I didn't recognize the number and let it go to voice mail as I have been getting alot of telemarketer calls. The details of the voicemail are the same as everyone elses. The case number is the same, call back with your attorney, or good luck as the situation unfolds.... But one thing everyone else missed was that it was a computer generated voice leaving the message

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

- JBakeI just received a phone call from a 'private caller' according to my caller id this morning, but they left a message asking me to call 202-741-4061. They told me there was a criminal lawsuit against me and that if I didn't call back they wish me a good luck as the situation unfolds around me. I was pretty sure it was a scam right from the start but after reading through the comments here I know for sure it was. Thanks! Here is a recording of the message in case anyone else gets something like this: http://vocaroo.com/i/s17FzmmPaoBI
- Retiredgot the call and told them I knew I owed the $$$$ and wanted their address in DC to send a check....they said I had to give CC number....I said I always sent checks to The IRS.
Told them my son would personally deliver the check to them within 24 hours and while he was there he would arrest their sorry rear ends since he was with the FBI in DC....Surprise they hung up!- Caller: IRS
- CWG40 replies to Ellen GelezinskyCall blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Callls originate in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers.
- CWG40 replies to KrisCall blocker can help.
- CWG40 replies to Retired WomanI'm 73 and I get them too. Don't call them back. They are nasty pieces of work.
- JaneJust had the same thing, can't wait to see what is "going to unfold on me"...
