Two days ago I received a phone call from "Windows Technical Department" I told the guy I was busy and I hang up. Then Today he called again from "Windows Technical Department" that my computer was identified with a problem that need a solution right away, so my answer was "I work at the Federal Government and let our IT Department about the problem, Thank you for the information" before I finished, he hung up. I don't think, he will call again. The Caller ID was from Washington DC area code, where I work.

Another new number calling me in the long list of scammers from "microsoft" or wherever. So tired of it. Why us? I never answer, but they never give up, just use a new number. Blocked now.

There was couple on TV recently that was interviewed because they kept getting these unwanted calls.  They asked the person to stop calling them and the person continued with the phone scam every week or so calling trying to get money out of them.  Well, the funny thing is this couple took the person to court (the authorities looked up the person with that phone number) and the couple was granted ONE MILLION DOLLARS in harassment charges.  The judge could see how many times (via phone records) that the scammer had called and the court awarded the money to the couple.  Now, for everyone that reads this, tell the scammer that you are keeping a record and you are going to file charges!  I am keeping records!

Had a little fun with them today (was bored) and played the absolutely clueless woman who only knows how to to on Facebook. After about 10 minutes of making him work for it, what button? That little one with the circle and and squares? Now which letter button? Then, when I was supposed to have pressed the windows logo and R at the same time to get "run.exe," I said, "Oh man! I've got a little box that popped right up on my computer! And do you know what it says? It doesn't say run ... (then my southern/stupid voice left) It says "THIS IS A SCAM! and you, sir, are an idiot for thinking this phishing scam would work!"  And he hung up on me! LOL

I answered this call today and the lady said that she was from "the department of windows" So, yep, this is a scam. She said I had downloaded some junk files and wanted to help me clear my computer. I am currently in a moving transition so my computer is in storage and not even plugged in. I told her this and she said "you don't have a computer!" I said I sure didn't... She didn't know what else to say and said she would have to call me back. Don't even bother answering this call, total scam.
