- JeremyI got a call from this number last night. Auto message saying that they were Wells Fargo and my debit card had been locked and press 1 to be connected to unlock it. I simply hung up as it was obviously a scam. I do bank with Wells Fargo but I get online alerts when I log into my account for these things.

- Silvercookie73 replies to Not that dumbThey just called me and the minute I hear a voice like that I know it is a scam. Besides Windows is not going to call me for a problem with my computer really hate these people.
- GailReceived a call from this number. The guy with an accent kept saying "hello". I said "what do you want?" He said "will you marry me?" I said "NO" and hung up. Don't these people have anything better to do? I see where several people have received calls from this number saying they are from Microsoft. I have received calls from them too. I actually called Microsoft and told them about the phone call and they said they DO NOT call people.

- Blindsided| 1 replyI have been dealing with these people from India for months. Initially, through my daughter I did I take a call unknowing of what was to follow. A man with an Indian accent called to say that there was some unusual activity - likely a virus showing via my computer. He wanted to check it out by remote connection. I asked him which computer? He said your computer. I told him there are 5 computers in our home, so which one was he referring to - getting signals from? He couldn't answer & clearly was not prepared for that response. So, he insisted it was my computer & said your Dell Laptop. I told him I didn't have a Dell Laptop. He insisted that I did & wanted to gain access. I refused & hung-up but that did not stop him from continuing to call relentlessly. Since that time (10 months ago) the phone calls have continued but more sporadically. For a number of reasons concerning the first call I believe that the people calling the United States are from India. I believe that they are doing it based on the out-sourced computer tech assistance by DELL Computers. They are using personal information obtained by DELL, Inc. and whether the information is current or old numbers, address, computer ID's, etc., this is the source of the problem.

- JimReceived a second call from this number, 1/27/2015 at approx 6:00 p, CST. It appears on caller ID as "Tech". The say they are from Windows and have been getting errors about my pc. They want me to log on to the pc. At this point I tell them to take their scam elsewhere. They accent has always been so heavy it is difficult to understand them. I told them it was a scam and if they called again they would be reported. They informed me they would continue to call until I fix the issue. LOL

- Anonymous replies to anon| 3 repliesI got call from this number claiming as Windows Technician and was insisting me to start my computer. When I asked who are you? Which company. He could give me convincing answer and threatened to cancel my Windows license. :-) Isn't this funny. I asked you dare do that. I warned if you call me back I will report to police

- Tim BarthCalled today from this number; claimed to be 'Windows Technical Support', stated his name was Melvin (voice sounded Slavic). Obviously a scam; I told them not to call me again.

- Kevin replies to Tammy WyattMine was almost identical to the previous message. She wanted me to go sit in front of my computer and they would do some work to it. I just replied, "you're kidding?" and hung up.
- NunyaThey called my number SIX times within 3 minutes. Lucky I have a service that allows me to block numbers. Shows up as TECH on Caller ID
- Busy WomanThis number calls my phone several times weekly, 2-10 times a day. Very disruptive and annoying.
- Carolyn replies to Tammy WyattI also screen my telephone calls but I was gone when the call came in from "TECH". All that appeared on answering machine was breathing and blowing and it was creepy. Your information appears to be about the same as a call that I received from 631-555-0148 and I do notice that these men appear to be from foreign countries. What it is called when another creates a problem and demand money is "High Extortion" Someone put a program on my computer involving "Driver Support" and another along with it. My computer man told me to remove it. Before I remove them some things would not even print and then after i remove them my printer would not work and I had to install the program over again.
- Carolyn replies to Kim JThis is the same thing that 631-555-0148 Dir.Asst NY told me to do. It sounded like they were calling from a foreign country. As they were on the telephone line it told me that they were trying to access my computer in which to do their dirty work.
