- Terry B.Received a call today from 202-768-7680, caller ID = "TECH". Same story as others - claimed to be from Microsoft, my comp sending data to their support desk, etc. Fellow on the phone sounded distinctly African, probably north African. I had previously received 3 or 4 calls from this outfit, but decided to answer it today. An obvious and amateurish scam. Do not become a victim of this dangerous hoax.
- DorieForeign guy called and told me some mean person was trying to hack into my computer. I told him I did not understand and he started to repeat and hung up. His number was 202-768-7680.

- LFLI quite often receive calls from this number. Person calling has an accent. Very persistent and becomes rude and quite indignant when I ask them to remove my number from their call list. How can these calls be stopped?

Here's a tip: Program all friends on your Wireless Cordless Phone, with a Special Ringtone, so when they call you, you will hear a different Ring Tone, from people who call you out of the Blue. So if you are home, you can get it, almost right away, or call them right back. - Curt BarteltWanted to talk with my wife, knew her first name. Said they were Windows computer techs checking on
Hacking,etc. Very suspicious- Caller: "Windows"

- FlowerfanaticThey did it again today!! Another of those SCAM calls supposedly from Microsoft. He started rattling on in a foreign language about wanting to help problems with my computer. I told him, as I have in the past, that there's nothing wrong with my computer. I, again, told him to remove my number from their system. I him I was going to hang up and I did. I've used more colorful language in the past. I get at least 3-5 of these calls a WEEK!!
I have blocked so many numbers that our phone system is full and can't accept any more. I will definitely check out Google to see what they have to offer to block more calls. A whole bunch of political numbers got blocked before the Nov. '14 election. I don't know if there's a way to delete them so I can use that space again.
Our son works as a VP of computer security for a nationally known home security company so he knows computers inside and out. If there is anything wrong with our computers, we'd let him know. Plus if he's visiting us, he checks everything out to be sure we're 'good to go'. We also belong to the 'do not call' list but it's useless in this situation.- Caller: 'Unavailable'

- H8 ScammersGet calls from these idiots all the time. Today I decided to mess wirh them. Caller (bad Russian accent) named Mike said he was from "Microsoft" and my computer was notifying them that I had serious virus issues. So I said THANK GOD, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR TECH SUPPORT TO CALL ME BACK FOR 2 DAYS! Then asked why they were calling from Washington DC instead of Washington State which he claimed they had call centers everywhere. Anyway, I asked him what to do and he said I needed to login to windows and allow "REMOTE" access. I then said, BUT I CAN'T LOGIN.....THAT'S WHY I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO CALL ME AND HELP! Lol, then asked him where the "Windows Logon was on a "MacBook" and said "Seriously [***]....DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY FALL FOR THIS [***]?" I guess he didn't want to play anymore cause he hung up!
