Calling for no one associated with this number.

I owed some account that I could not pay and still can not pay.  What bugs me is they bought my account for like $200 and they want $8,000!  They can go screw themselves.  I told the little [***] I would give them $1,000 and they would have to sign a staement saying this whole deal was over and  that they could not resale or try to recollect ont he account ever again.  He started making up crap.  I'm in the financial field and know how these losers work.

Can someone tell me why a Financial institution will sell a $8,000 loan to a bunch of Mafia [***] for $200, but will not settle with a debtor for $2,000 at the time????

I keep getting calls from this company.   Please stop.

These people call and harass me about an account that does not belong to neither my wife nor I. We explain this to them EVERYTIME they call. They have threatened us and harassed us as well as given us false information concerning the account in question.

They tell us we owe for stuff we would have never even acquired!!! This company does nothing but harass and threaten people!!! Even said we had 2 options, either pay or they will make us pay....lol. We told them they cant make us pay and she said"I know I cant" What kind of morons work there???? What can we do about this

NONE! they just don't answer after I pick up the phone???

We are on the don't call list. You need stop calling our house. They never leave a message and when you answer the phone they don't say a word.

They called me looking for my nephew who lived here 4 years ago before getting a DUI. The sweet voice on the other end claimed that is was his wife. I told her I would forward the info onto his partner, Johnny.

They called me about my past due / charged off Old Navy Credit Card balance. I did not talk to them. I just listened to their voicemail and I received a collecgtion letter in the mail from them. The letter I received from them has a call back number of 866-925-7109

I thought was illegal for bill collectors to call on a Sunday! Guess not because thats what these scum just did--left no message--we didn't answer as we have no past bills out there--we have been getting calls for a bunch of different people lately --we don't know them and if you answer this and try to explain to moron if there is one on other end--they start berating you like your the dead beat--we don't even bother answering anymore--We get one from some company that says this is an important message for joe blow if you are not him hang up immediately--if you are not him call this # back and tell us----ok people should i hang up immediately or listen to find out if you think i am dumb enough to return your call and engage in a battle of wit with an unarmed person working your phone bank----If you had enough information to make a valid claim you would send a letter in mail and since i don't recieve those go back under the rock that you just slithered out of

[***] called again @ 8:15am on 7/26 and left no message!  this number is coded to no ringer on my phone so if they call again, it goes directly to VM and I don't know they call until I get a missed call, oh well...

As I understand it, you CAN record conversations. A key is that one of the party must know it's happening, and yes, that can be YOU, if you are part of the conversation.

No its not! In one party states,such as Tennessee,which is a one party state, you can record them all day long and they are admissible in court. One party means just that,one party,as in I am the one party that knows that the call is being recorded and I don't have to tell them. Google one and two party states to see which states are which. 90% of the states are one party.

Non-stop calling for months.I want to scream my head off.I am sick of the calls.The person is
calling day and night plus on weekends how sick how very,very,very sick .

Never a message called back and my number was not listed on their list....BUT these people call twice a day. I do not answer but today decided to call back.and was told my number was not in their records...GO FIGURE,,Someone trying to scame.

I was getting so many calls on my cell phone I save their number under the name, Do Not Answer.

So far so good, when they rang my number I now know who it is.

This is the third number Portfolio Recovery has called from from in the past week.  I don't pick up the phone when the caller ID shows someone I don't know, or I pick up and hit the disconnect button immediately.  I've never in all my life had a debt go to collections, and my credit is excellent.  I know for a fact I don't owe them anything.  I know people are just trying to make a living, but this job is the lowest of the low.  All self-respect and dignity has to be long gone for people to do this.

FYI: Do not call list does not protect you from debt collectors.  It's about unsolicited marketing.

I just changed my number yesterday and now I start getting this.  They did not leave a message so I had to look the number up.  Thanks
