Wow, I'm so glad I found this site.  Explains everything.  (210) 586-0050 has called me over a dozen times starting approximately 24 hours ago.  They virtually always hang up right after I say "hello?" and never leave a message.  The whole two times someone actually spoke, they were looking for an "Emily" (I know no one by that name).  To my knowledge I don't even have a credit card with them or anyone, let alone any debt with them!  This is quite strange.

Yes this Chase and they are relentless. I originally had a card with Washington Mutual until they did the merger last year.  Nathan they sent my interest rate from 13.8% to 29.99% with no warning or reason.  I called and they said that just decided to do so.  Had the card for 5 years, paid every month on time more than minimum, and often paid card completely off.  The hike sent my payment up $100.  After a year of paying the horrible interest I missed a payment.  They called 10-15 times a day.  I would answer and say I can't pay anymore with that interest rate.  They put me on a liquidation program that took my interest rate down to 6% but they had to close the acct which has dropped my credit score to the high 600s.  I asked could they just suspend spending and leave it open.  They acted as if I cursed their children.  The Customer Service dept is nothing like the service I get with my Amex.  I can't wait until I pay them completely off.

No you do not have to be 30 days late. If you are on there payment plan they will call you from this number.  I forgot to submit my payment due for 6/10/10 on 6/14/10 they call from this number and asked for their payment.  I was like look I pay you guys every month and have only missed 1 payment in 6 years and that was because of the interest hike.  The payment is 4 days late leave me alone.  Just to be just as annoying as they are.  I wouldn't give the agent the payment.  I hung up and went online to do it.  They are viscous please don't get on their bad side.  They have no tact or respect for the customers.

Got three calls from this number today answered and they said it was Chase account services concerning my overdue accounts. Wanted my account number and social security number. Guess what I do not have any Chase Accounts.  I told them to tell me the numbers they said they couldnt do it for security reasons. Bet not. I hung up. Be sure to always check with the local  bank branch if you have concerns.

Well I haven't had any of the experiences all of you have had and I skimmed these posts since 2007.  I get called every once and a while on my cell.  For whatever reasons I haven't been able to answer.  I always thought it was a prank call because one message there was noise in the background, heavy breathing and then something spoken so quickly that it was inaudible - and I listened 10x.  Another cell phone message, today, had some slight people-background noise with a woman, with a southern accent saying, "how about a little back scratchin" and that was it.  (They called earlier but left no message.)

I have no debt collection issues with Chase or anyone else out here in Los Angeles where I live so this is different from the rest of you.

Am giving blocking this number a go.  Last month, I had a similar problem with another number - 310-599-9127.  Something called SaveAce.  A credit card scam.  Got nothing from me.  When I did finally get ahold of someone, they had a heavy accent and I could not understand them.  That may have been my salvation.  Wonder if these are related telepests.  Change their phone number & use the same info over and over.

I too have been getting repeated calls from "Chase", but it was a different number.  I do NOT have a past due account with Chase.  They call all day long beginning at 8:00 in the morning and go until 9:00 at night, 7 days a week.  They used to ask for "David" now they are asking for "Larry".  My husband answered one time and told them there's no one here by that name and to stop calling, but they kept calling.  I filed a complaint at donotcall.gov, and I also filed a complaint with the FTC.  The FTC sent me a letter telling me there was nothing they could do!  So I found a simple remedy.  I let my answering machine pick up, then I pick up the receiver.  When my outgoing message stops and it beeps, I hold the receiver next to the answering machine and it makes an awful screeching noise... it's painful to the ears, even mine.  When the screeching stops, it means the caller has hung up.  I did this for four or five days and the calls stopped... for a week.  Then they started up again.

Not sure if this will help anyone but if you have verizon wireless you can go on their website and block up to 5 phone numbers from calling you.  I just did this so hopefully I will not get these calls anymore, they call 5 times per day minimum starting at 8am...soooo aggravating!

Received call from 210-586-0050. Did not leave a message. Called back and prompted to enter my 16 digit credit card#. I hung up and call the Chase 800 number. I AM ON TIME WITH PAYMENTS AND IN GOOD STANDING WITH MY CREDIT CARDS.

Talked to Chase's security department. Was told that they DID NOT try to contact me, that there is nothing wrong or late with my account. Chase was very nice to me.

BEWARE INPUTTING YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER MIGHT JUST GET YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO STOLEN!!!!!!

called chase. this is NOT them. I repeat: NOT them. It is a scam to get your card information. They do not use this number for debt collections. the lady I spoke to on the phone (at the actual 800 number) took the information and told me to cancel that card even if I hadn't typed in my card number. i am current on all my payments and am not on a payment plan, so they have no reason to call me. only give information to the numbers you know are chase (written on the back of  the card/your statement.etc).

The banks are engaging in a term called "Window Dressing". I heard about it this morning on the radio. This is why people are being called and asked to lower their balances by $1800.00 or $1000.00 or whatever amount. They are asked to commit to paying down their balance by a certain date a few months into the future and by doing so will receive $150.00 dollars from the bank or an amount of free credit. Here is a clip and paste from a news website called "www.observer.com/2010/wall-street/sec-inspect-window-dressing".     SEC to Inspect 'Window Dressing' Fakeouts on Bank Balance Sheets,     The Securities and Exchange Commission plans to make new rules governing banks' deployment of "window dressing," the practice of reducing a company's debt load shortly before providing a required quarterly balance-sheet update to investors, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.     In the wake of the crisis of 2008, investors and regulators are understandably concerned about banks' debt levels, since it was massive debt that helped create the panic that eventually brought down Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers. And so banks are, unsurprisingly, doing their best to make everyone think that they have less debt than they do.     Window dressing isn't illegal, just enormously dishonest. The Journal's investigation of 18 banks shows that the companies would on average report debt levels 42% lower than their quarterly peaks.     As a remedy, the SEC is contemplating further action beyond simply saying "C'mon, you guys, you have to tell the truth!" according to The Journal.     The agency's staff has been considering whether banks should be required to provide more frequent disclosure of their average borrowings, which would give a better picture of their debt throughout a quarterly period than do period-end figures.    Regulators require banks to disclose their average borrowing rates once a year, and other companies never have to make such disclosures.

After reading this I assume Chase is calling me.  I HAD a CC with them, its closed and I'm paying it off under arrangements with them.  I knew I couldn't make my payment this month, so I called them.  They politely cancelled this months payment, and told me I have until the end of the month to make the payment with no report to the credit bureaus. I was also told that I have until the end of the year to make up the one missed payment with no other problems.  1 week later I'm getting these calls.  Its nowhere near the end of the month yet.  I had told them I just started two jobs and that it's naturally 2-3 weeks before my paychecks start coming on a regular basis.  Meaning I will probably pay the ONE late payment in October, as well as the normal October payment.  I could give a rats [***] about my credit report.  I have no intention of EVER getting another credit card, I already own a house, and I have 2 cars.  No need to be pulling my credit report for anything.  Bad marks on my credit report are no thread to me, I JUST DON'T care anymore.  I'm willing to pay off my debt, and am doing so at all levels.  I don't understand how a company can be so rude as to start calling me at all hours when I HAVE AN ARRANGEMENT and AM PAYING AS AGREED.  Believe me, when the time comes, EVERYTHING I have will be leaving Chase.  It may be 5 years, but it will be gone.  I want NOTHING to do with this company.  And I'm willing to live the rest of my life on a cash only basis.  I refuse to give any of my hard earned cash to these companies in the future.  I've learned my lesson.  We are just income earners for them.  They love you until you miss a payment.  Then you see the true side.  If they keep up this calling I may just never pay back the debt and file bankruptcy.  They really need to understand that there are many like me who are just fed up with them.  If they just treated their customers with some respect, they'd probably get more money paid back to them.

After this number has called me everyday for 3 weeks (I never answered), I finally called back to make it stop. They asked for my account number, which I didn't give them. When I got a rep on the line, she insisted it was Chase Card Services calling about the promotion letter I got in the mail. I told her if I was interested in the letter, I would've called and that it was ridiculous for this phone number from Texas (I'm in PA) to call me every single day. She claimed I needed to answer one of my security questions to look up my account and make a note in it to have the calls stop. After telling her I knew it was a fraudulant call, she still insisted it was Chase Card Services. I reluctantly gave her the answer, and she told me she was making the note that I'm declining the offer. She then asked me to verify my mailing address, and I declined, saying it was ridiculous, and hung up.

Most people wouldn't answer the phone if they know that is a collector who is calling   :-)
Regretfully they are relentless, do not give a s__t about our problems, do not recall that we are in the mess we are because of their greed.
I had 5 CC with them; for months I was trying to outline a payment plan that I could live with, (my credit prior to the meltdown was in the high 700s) but they will not accept it.
It was their way or no way. Finally I had to cave in to their demands (trying to buy time to see if some things I was working on would pan out) knowingly that I'll be in trouble soon if my other thing did not work out.
Guess what, it did not pan out and had to stop the program in which I was enrolled and now they call tons of times a day using at least 7 different #s, I just do not answer.
Once the call ends I go to the computer and enter the caller's number.
If I get the info as in this site I'll save the number in my directory and in this case will be as Chase Collection 7 (they have tons of numbers, I am in chase 6 right now).
I am taking this as far as I can go so I can put together the money for the BK lawyer.
I am 61 years old, and since the meltdown my life has been turned upside down including sales plummeting (I do internet sales) my wife's closing of her brick and mortar business and her subsequent stroke.
But this suckers do not care.
So we have no many options left, and as said the reps are totally heartless some even look like they enjoy their job, but what goes around comes around ............
