BTW, you can call Chase at 866 926 6911 and ask them to "cease and desist" calls from 210 586 0050 and by law they must stop calling you. I did it.

I don't quite understand why these people are calling me.

I had a Chase account over three years ago that I paid off in full and closed many years ago.

They are calling ten to twelve times a day, and I just called Chase directly and they also have no record of me or my number.

I'm pretty sure this is a scam call.

In fact if I remember the Collections Office is in Tempe Arizona at what they call the SHOCK Center. y7f

They are Chase, but they cannot freeze your bank account without permission.  They can pursue collections.  However I believe calling as they have me over 20 times a day on my cell phone is harrassment.  I will deal with them tonight and if necessary close my chase bank account and open one elsewhere.  No one should be allowed to call someone this many times.  I told them that my husband was at the doctor when I answered and they still kept calling, no messages were left on my home phone or cell phone.  Ridiculous.

This is Chase Bank calling about a past due payment on a credit card. 3 calls at my work in the last 2 1/2 hours. They leave no message. Chase changed our credit card rate from fixed to variable and then increased the minimum monthly payment from 2% to 5%. I told them their $1100 payment is not going to happen. This bank paid millions in bonuses to their employees with our bail out money.  I'm not bailing them out any more!

This is Chase. We are on their BLP program where there is no late fee's, no charges, reduced interest adn monthly payments for hardship cases. Our payment was due on the 29 of July and we called on the 27th (24+hrs in advance per our agreement) and advised that our payment would be late and made on 8/7. They said no problem, noted the account and we were all set. Starting on 8/1 we are getting 5 or 6 calls a day at the house and 3 or 4 on my cell. They have hung up on my wife as well as while my kids were bringing me the phone to tlak to them. The one time I did tlak, they repeated everything that was agreed to and then told me that I had to pay anyway, right now! I told them "no, on the 7th" and they told me that there would be late charges and it would be reported to the credit bureau's. I told them that the program we are on forbids them from doing any such thing. I was then told that until the payment is made, the calls will continue. I told her thats fine. As they dont leave messages and like to hang up on people, I told the girl I can do the same and promptly hung up on her.

This is for a CHASE credit card collection, well not really collection I was 5 days past due and this is their automated system telling me they are past due and how much I owe to bring my account current.

Remember your credit card name may be different but your card may be ISSUED by chase bank which is the reason they are calling.

it is jut automated but until you bring your account current they keep calling over and over.

First of all - no creditor can freeze your bank accounts,  garnish your wages, or take your home without first filing a lawsuit against you.

IF you show up for court and explain why
    1) its not your debt
    OR
    2) you are unable pay at this time due to job loss or illness, but have every intention of paying it when you can. (temporary set back)
    OR
    3) if illness/injury that resulted in now being on disability or Social Security - they cannot touch your money at all.  Disability and Social Security are exempt from garnishment for consumer debt.

If you live in TX,  your wages cannot be garnished for consumer debt at all
If you own a home - and have filed for homestead exemption - YOUR HOME IS PROTECTED from liens on consumer debt that is not mortgage related.

If YOU don't bother to show up at all - THEN ITS YOUR FAULT!  Failure to show up is an automatic default judgement!

GREAT IDEA. Set ring tone to no ring. I feel silly for not thinking of that! I too am getting these calls, but sounds like they are looking for someone I'm related to. I also asked that they stop calling, I've told them it's the wrong number - no avail.

Chase called me starting at saturday 8am. They called every other hour or so. It was due to a payment error on my credit card. I paid the statement in full, by doing a balance transfer from my other account. I have paid the amount on the phone with Chase. However, chase's 210 number kept calling. I told the rep that I paid it. They said that it does not appear on their system. I asked to not call me again, due to the fact that I paid. They said that they will keep calling me until it appears on their system.

I called Chase CC phone number which appears on the back of my card again. I spoke with supervisor Adam. I told him that his people are calling me despite the fact that I paid the charge. He said that the payment takes a while to clear, and that's why they'll keep calling me -EVEN THOUGH I MADE THE PAYMENT-!!!! I told him that I ask to stop calling me but he said that that is their procedure and they will keep calling me.

I believe that this is harassment. I have file da complaint with the FTC link above. Thank you for the link.

My family has been getting these calls from 210-586-0050 for several weeks, around 6 to 10 a day.  I finally called my Chase card card phone #, and they said that JPMorgan Chase is their retail side, and they do car loans, mortgages, student loans, etc. Maybe JPMorgan Chase is calling to push their services or loans.  My credit card is uptodate, with nothing overdue or any problems, so there is no reason for them to call about my credit card.

It is Chase, and yes I am currently behind on the payment for them because they jacked my interest rate 11% in one month, and they are VERY rude and VERY unprofessional.
