- ch replies to Wow Me Too| 1 replyI received the exact same message but person claimed she was Special Investigator Amy Stewart. Before I used to received calls from people who had very heavy accents threatning saying that the police was going to pick me up at my home I replied to them that i will be waiting and pissed them off even more. Now theses people start with this really a debt collector is going to file a restraining order against you, they are really stupid and need to get a life a real job instead of trying to scam innocent hard working people trying to make a real living. They need to catch theses crooks and lock them up for good
- Lvec 1274| 1 replyI just got the call saying that a restraining order would be put out against me in 48 hours if I didn't call back in 24 hours
- Caller: lola mcckenzie
- GiG replies to Lvec 1274No such thing as a restraining order on debt.
Debt is CIVIL, not CRIMINAL.
It's juat a scare tactic.
Ignore all future calls. - Christa replies to noneofurbusiness| 1 replyHi there, I am curious to find out what happened when you filed a complaint with the IC3.gov website? Did anyone follow up on it? I am currently a victim of the same situation and I am getting calls @ work and some how they managed to track down my best friends CELL number and called her too. They left a message on her machine as well. They are quoting that I have a legal matter to respond to, blah blah blah, but when they called here last week - they yelled F*** you at one of my coworkers when told that I no longer work there....(trying to get the calls stopped, just curious if you were successful)
- Sharon MolsterI recieved a call today with a message that I was going to be served with a restraining order And that I had 24-48 hours to respond. I called back and the Gentleman was rude and trying to pry into my buisness. I contacted my Attorneys office and they handled the call.
I don't think I'll be hearing from them again!!- Caller: central assets buriauy

I received a call this morning. It was a private/blocked number so I let it go to voicemail and I am really glad I did. After I listen to a guy named Vaughn tell me he was a special investigater, I had a complaint filed against me and I was due in court, because of a RETAINING order and etc. He left a "case number" and the number 210 892-1308 to call back. I went online and couldn't find an Legitimate direcory for that number. So I suspected that this is another debt collection scare call for someone with the same first and last NAME as me but diferent everything else. I have been getting a few of these lately. But to be sure I got a copy of my credit report and installed an app that recorded phone calls on my phone.
I called back and talked to a lady named Allision who verified I was NOT who they wanted by releasing the SSN, birthdate, phone number, and previous address of the person they WERE looking for. That alone has to be breaking at bunch of laws. She told me to "disreguard the call, it wasn't for me". No applolgy. When I asked her if she could notify the company that hired her to stop giving my number she said "WE ARE A LAW FIRM! WE CANNOT TELL ANYONE ANYTHING!" There as to be something against the law for inpersonating an enforcer of the law or a person of law. I am filing a complaint and sending in copies of the recordings. Debt collection companies are getting out of hand and breaking to many laws and civil rights.- Caller: Central asset bureau

- June RentschlerI received a message from Central Asset Bureau that I had 24-48 hours to call 210-892-1308 because of a restraining order against me and have me or my attorney call. The claim number is LBEC2903. I called and got a girl that said I am being sued for fraud from a 2009 loan from Loan.com and it was put into my Charter One Bank account. Loan.com deposited $925.32 and they will settle for $625.00. I told her I never had a bank account at Charter One and she insisted that I owed the money. I told her I don't and she said if I don't pay she is going to send me a summons. I told her to go ahead and she only got madder. I ended up hanging up on her and I have tried to call them back numerous times to tell her I was reporting them to the FBI and now no one answers.

- Sharron HallI also received a call much like the one mentioned. i was advised that this is a loan associasted with a bank bought out by another one 3 years ago. I was advised to purchase a pre-paid money card and a put required balance on it on specific due dates. The person I spsoke with was Tracy Caldwell or Mr. Peterson. Both were defifintely on the offence and gace 48 hours to call back with pre-payment information. They indicated that appartantly the debt company they were hired by were unable to reach me on a 30 60 90 days. This is on a debt apparantly over 3 years ago. I feel that their attitude was threatening; like 48 hours is going to make money appear and the threat of legal action is meant to scare..I don't know what to do. This is supposed ly a payday loan.

- DebAmy Stewart from Central Asset Bureau let me a message saying that a complaint and restraining order were filed against me. I thought it may be a scam, so I looked up the number and read that many people have received the same phone call. I then called Amy Stewart, but wasn't actually allowed to talk to Amy Stewart. I asked the person that I was talking to for a copy of the complaint and they got irrate with me and said that it was not a mail center and that they do not mail out documents. I told them that I know my rights and that I have a right to see the documents and have 30 days to respond to a complaint. She continued yelling me at me and telling me that I didn't know anything. I then hung up on her.

- SpeedyMy sister got a message on her voice mail about me getting sued by a CENTRAL ASSET BUREAU, PHONE NUMBER 210-892-1308, CASE NUMBER TUOH2773. NAME OF INVESTIGATOR - DAYTON AUSTIN. This guy has been after me for more than a year or two. I've told these characters to stop harrassing me. I do not have any outstanding pay loans and I have no idea what the restraining order is all about. Anyone want to file a lawsuit against these scammers? Like most of you here, they have my private information and I don't know how they got it. Oh, to make matters even worse, a friend of mine calls me late at night to tell me that a DAVID AUSTIN from some Special Investigation was calling to let me know that there is a complaint/restraining order against me.
Just totally makes me MAD and I am going to file with the Police Department, the FBI and whomever will read my complaint to see whether these scammers can be put out of business.- Caller: CENTRAL ASSET BUREAU
