This just happened to me about five minutes ago.  I answered the phone and a guy with a slight accent (although I couldn't place it exactly) asks for my shipping manager.  Our company doesn't have a shipping manager as we all handle our own small shipping needs or we contract out so I asked him for a contact name.  He said he did not have the name on him and that the name was a 15 minute walk across the warehouse.  I said that if he knew who he was looking for, I'd be glad to transfer him and he said "you just asked me that".  He proceeded to get really rude and hang up on me.  I googled the company that he claimed to be with but their website didn't come up.  I believe he said Dynamex or something to that effect.  This guy is a total psycho and I hope he never gets through to anyone as he is truly rude.

I just answered the phone at my job, and this man asked for someone... I didn't understand him, so I said "I'm sorry say that again" he repeated himself but again, I didn't understand him... I said "i'm sorry sir I don't understand"  he said "are you really sorry" I said yes and he said "okay I'll note that on the file" and hung up.  I then googled the phone number, and this came up.  What a low life... some people just have too much time on their hands.... It sounded like a middle aged man, not even a child.. which makes it that much more pathetic.  I'm anticipating another call... now that I know it's some bad joke.... Loser!

Just got a call from a guy who asked for the shipping department.  I asked him who was calling and he said tell them Dynatech is holding for them.  I said we don't buy anything from Dynatech, he said it's not...we don't ... tell them we have a packet for them.  I said Dynatech is not a customer of our or a vendor of ours and he hung up.

Somebody called from here earlier asking for our Receiving dept. That guy was fired a few weeks ago so I told him that and asked if I could help. He said he had a delivery for us and wanted to make sure we were at the "1300 Elmwood Ave" location. I said yes and he said thank you, end of call. Great - now I'll probably be getting a huge bill.

You CAN get these idiots to stop calling you! Register your phone number at DoNotCall.gov. They call you... you report them... they get fined $10,000.00 for EACH offence!!

They called me today and asked for the Shipping Department. I was a bit perplexed because our Shipping Department is FedEx... HULLO!! So then the guy asks for the mailroom attendant... well, that's me!! So he started his schpeel... I didn't let the guy finish because I could tell it was a scam right off because the guy was so flippin' rude. Accordingly, I hung up on him before he could finish saying "I will be sending you a catalog".

IMMEDIATELY I reported them to DoNotCall.gov and they will be receiving a nice bill from ME via the Government. As you know... when it comes to money, Uncle Sam doesn't play around. If enough people report them, they can't continue doing business... because it will cost MORE to operate than they can scam people out of. ;)

Hey, This guy just called here asking for shipping and wanting to send us 'supplies' and a radio...  seems like these guys are still in business...  We get about five or six scam calls per year that I am aware of, I am sure there are more...  Our shipping guy missed it and gave them our address but no po number...  Hopefully we can catch the shipment and refuse it...

They call us all the time, I usually make up a name and string them along saying we are moving to a new facility and make up an address and phone # Then I usually say we switched to the 3' tape and this really confuses them.  There doesn't seem to be a way to stop them from calling and it is funny that they have been celebrating their 25th anniversary for almost 4 years????

I got the call earlier this morning.  I like to mess with these types of [***].  I gave the guy a runaround and put him on hold.  He eventually hung up.  We also get the people who ask for our model number for our copier.  I've asked them out on dates, told them I'd have to get the model number from their mom, who happens to be under my desk, and I've even asked how much they enjoy scamming people.  I say let's humiliate these scum and have fun doing it.

Told me they have a gift and would be shipping out our packaging tape just need to verify my address .. I have told them repetedly not to call here ever again but they call just about every month i asked who they had talked to and was hung up on ... I am at work and don't need the interuptions of someone trying to scam my company !!! please please put a end to them call our company once and for all .........

Same here...called my company asking for mail/receiving department.  Told him we did not have that department. He was very rude and hung up on me! Jerk!

Received call and unfortunately my store room clerk did not know and gave him a po number. I have to catch this and decline shipment. What are we to do on this? If anyone has experienced this to where the items were shipped please assist.

Some try the Radio thing, while others like today, just tell me to tag our order with P.O.#----.
When I asked if we had placed an order that I was unaware of with them, He (Steve) just hung up on me.
Someway, some how these people need to be exposed & taken out of Business.

Caller called and asked for "Steve". We do have a Steve here, but was unavailable at the time, so I took the call. He said our order is shipping today on open account, and needed a verbal approval. I assumed it was something my employee, Steve, had ordered and gave him my name. When I asked what was shipping, he said "2" tape and a new catalog". He hung up before I could tell him we had not ordered any tape. I called the 800.960.1138 number from a previous post and spoke to "Lena". She said she would cancel the shipment. We will see. Now I will probably get 2 cases!

This company has called us several times to sell us tape.  My company is in Wisconsin and we don't need to buy tape from California. I've told this company before we are not interested and to remove our phone number.  Hadn't heard from them in awhile, until today.  As soon as I heard who it was I hung up.  I am done being polite with them.  The guy calls back under a FAKE NAME AND COMPANY so he can tell me off.  I tell him I am not interested and to stop calling.  I call 800-960-1138 and spoke with customer service to complain and get our number off their list. We'll see.

I received a call yesterday from Dynatech. The man said they had a shipment ready for us and needed to confirm the address. He then transferred me to his shipping department. I asked this man what the PO number was for the shipment. He didn't have one. I said who ordered the tape? He said you just did. I said NO! I told him the first man led me to believe he was calling about an order that had been placed earlier. 2nd guy said no you ordered it. I said no I didn't. Do not ship any tape to us as we will refuse it.

Dynatech called today, rude as always and trying to scam.  I encourage everyone to put their number (800-960-1138) in their fax machine and keep letting it redial.  They waste our time, lets waste their time and phone bill.

Same as above...Free Radio., 2" tape.  I inquired about a bill...and he hung up.

Oh, yes, they are still in business! "Ashly" just called wanting to speak with shipping department and I asked "Who do you want in shipping, there are 35 people?" and she said "The shipping manager." We don't have a shipping manager so I asked if we had a pending order with us and the promptly hung up. Of course you can't call back the number they are dialing from but I wish there was a way to stop them!

caller asked for shipping department.  We generally don't give calls to shipping.  I asked if I could help.  "Allen" was trying to give me a confirmation # for some catalogs they were sending.  I asked how many catalogs that he needed to send them out UPS.  He said a few.  In the mean time I contacted our purchasing and A/P departments to see if they had heard of DynaTech.  No one had heard of this company.  He had no PO# or any thing.  He was pretty persistant.  I told him we were not interested.

I get no less than three phone calls every other month from these people. As soon as they ask for shipping I ask what it's in reference to.. they tell me they have a package for us. I simply hang up.
