We received a package of shipping tape today from this Dynatek place.  When I try to call the numbers on the packing list I get a message saying "The number you are trying to reach is currently unavailable". Now what?

Delta Shipping and all others like them are the worst scams. Not only are they blatantly trying to rip off businesses, but they don't care if they get an employee fired in the process.  I'm very surprised UPS will continue shipping packages for a business that has been proven to be a total scam.

Make sure everyone in you company knows that you are a victim of a scam and who the tape came from. They will keep sending boxes and invoicing you in greater and greater amounts. Refuse any delivery from them. Do not pay the invoice. Send the box of tape back. If there is a UPS charge, you might have to pay that in order to keep your own company out of trouble.

I got a phonecall today from DYNATECH about a confirmation number from UPS and invoice!. I told them to destroy the invoice due we have not ordered anything from them. The guy hung on me after he said "it is coming".
I have rejected their phonecall several times.

By law, They can't force you to pay for something you didn't order.  They send an invoice, merely hoping it will be paid in the 'paper shuffle.'  They may threaten with collections and legal action, but it's all a bluff.  Not too many companies I know of that would pursue legal action over a box of tape that's probably worth $30 (as opposed to the $500 they charge you for.)

Your best bet is to tell them never to call back again.  If they do, file a report with the FTC as they can be fined.  Also recommended that you try to record the call (check your state laws on this first.)  Even if you do not have the means to do so, you should tell them it's been recorded anyway and to never call back all in one go.

Have been receiving this same phone call for nearly 12 years at my company! Always the same, asking for the shipping dept. and when I say I am the shipping dept. he says he will be sending out our yearly supplies catalog. I have always told him that he is not our supplier and then he hangs up. This afternoon, ''Devin" called from Dynatech saying that last week a package was refused from our shipping dept. and it was being sent once again to our facility and will arrive next Tuesday. I asked what the package was and his reply was "well I don't know what's in the package, we are just the shipping agency that ships it, like UPS". He said it was a 2' X 6' package and he couldn't tell me who the actual company that was shipping it to us. I then asked for his phone number. he started with this: (661) 109-346...and then hung up. I reported this company to the FCC...called the 1-800 number for Dynatech and filed a complaint, letting them know I filed the complaint today and will refuse any and all packages sent from their company. Hopefully this works but I doubt it!!

Same story...sending 2" clear tape and a free radio.  Asked for the PO # or person's name that ordered the tape.  They could not give it to me.  They had already managed to get my name and had the address.  I figured out it was a scam when I asked the 2nd person I spoke with for the name of our employee that ordered.  He said it was there anniversary special. My response was so no one ordered it? I told him finally I didn't want anything from their company.  I don't know if they will send it anyway or not, just tried to let everyone in the company know the name of the company.  REALLY don't have time for this kind of crap.

Deception is not legal, under any number of state and federal laws.

Same here.  I am the shipping manager where I work.  They hang up on me all the time too.  Sometimes, they use rude, crude language and call me names.  Sexist jerks!

How can you sleep at night doing what you do? Who would want to work for a company that is unhonest and hustles people to make money? Obvioulsy you are a no good person who couldn't find anything better to do with your life. People like you get what they deserve eventually!

I'm glad that I Goggled this Dynatech Inc. I thought something was fishy about these calls I was getting!!

I just got off the phone with these guys.  I confirmed my name and before I knew it, they said they're sending some tape and a [***] radio and hung up.  Now I need to cancel the order before I ever receive anything.  Anyone have a number or advice on how to cancel and get out of this?

When I ask you "would you like to mark the invoice verbal to your attention or tag it with a PO number?" After telling you the tape comes on a 30 day open billing, and you say "verbal" you just ordered the tape. Perfectly legal. Hire people who know what those words mean and you won't have a problem with this. But then again, with as dumb as you are to make statements about legality without actually knowing what you're talking about, really doesn't surprise me that WE GOT YOU :)

No number. Just mail us a check when you receive your invoice. Enjoy the tape :)

They called me today from Dynatech about the tape and the catoluge BS. They have called in the past before but i've always said im not interested.
But, this time I acted like I was interested and ask for there address and phone number.
After they gave it to me I told them to remove me from there calling list and that we did'nt do business from out of state suppliers...lol

I got a call and they are sending some tape but i don't want it and don't know how to stop the order.

A guy called and asked to speak to shipping dept. I asked if thre was something I could help him with and he very rudely said he wanted shipping.  He asked if we were still using the 2" tape we bought from them.  We never done business with these people nor have them on our approved vendor list.  I put my shipping manager on the phone and he was very rude with her also.  When she told him not to send her anything he hung up on her.  These people call at least one or twice a week using a different name or person's name.
