Do you plan on coming over here? I don't think so. We don't do business with anyone close enough to come over here. Have fun calling our number :) We don't answer it anyways.

They have called me at least once a month for the last 9 years, offering a free radio or asking if we still use 2 inch packing tape.  The number comes up unknown every time.  Lately they have identified themselves as "Dynatech".  They used to be rude and hang up on me, now I just tell them to call back and ask for the "purchasing department", which doesn't exist, and they seem nice about it.

    Angry People Hater
I have come to realize people suck.
They have tried this scam for years and have finally penetrated our ranks. (due to new hires)
My shipping clerk just came to me stating DynaTech was going to send us a box of tape and a new catalog.
I know what happens next, we get a box of crappy tape and a bill for $400-$500.  I am going to refuse receipt of the shipment due to lack of PO#.
Lets see what the [***] try to pull next.
    I'll let you know.

It's not really a scam. It's just an unhonest way of doing business. Every order shipped out is verified 3 times. All we do here is prey on people who are dumb enough to verbally authorize a shipment, without knowing they did it. It is %100 legal. If  you don't wanna get hustled, hire smarter people. Talk to you all soon. Hopefully your bi*** receptionists transfer my call.

    Sincerely,

                 A Happy Dynatek Employee

That's ok, Will or Bob or Happy McDynatech/Delta whatever you call yourself. You'll get yours in the end... just wait and see. There are people crazy enough to find you. Why don't you find some honest work and stop sucking off of the people who are "dumb enough" in your words to accept your crappy products!

The trick to these [***] is saying no; or that is correct!!!!!!! Do not say yes to anything. Not yes to who you are; not yes to the address being correct; not yes to do you use this tape! This employee of them is correct in that they are sneaky and have a sorry excuse of a j-o-b!

just refuse the shipment... if it has already been delivered, Contact the shipper (from the invoice that will show up posthaste)  the order was not placed through purchasing or given a valid PO number so they have 30 days to pick the package up or it will be considered a gift.

    Dug In Shipping
It's next to impossible to return items once you have fallen for this scam. I've found a fast and easy way to end these calls: let them get through their initial pitch about the new catalog and whatever seasonal special event that they are kicking off, then they always ask if I'm still using that 2" tape, same as ever, to which I respond "no, we're completely off tape here. We're exclusively using adhesives here." This confuses them enough to end the call. Feel free to use this non-sequitur next time they call, it's kind of fun.

I've had my own run-ins with Dynatech. Much like a few people here, I'd started a new job when they started calling and had no idea who we got our shipping tape from, so when they said they'd send me a catalog and some 'samples' I said "Great!" A few thousand dollar invoices later, our company finally started to push back and send them their cheap tape right back to them. That was about a year ago.

Just recently they started calling again, pitching the same spiel. The first time they called, I told them we weren't interested and to stop calling. They, of course, called back, but this time they called themselves DTI. Same pitch, so I told them they better not ever call back here again. It pails in comparison to what I actually wanted to say.
